Villa fans sang Lambert's name at Carrot Rd while he was still managing the Canaries. Well, they got their wish.
And indeed, he has that 4 year extension he signed for the summer--stupid Lerners-- but there will still be a Championship club blindly leaping to take the bait.
He's chased the money and perceived greater glamour. Alas, Villa have an illustrious history and he has grounded if not sunken the ship.
But on his cv Lambert can argue he didn't get em relegated. That's now on the poor sap willing to salvage what is left from the flotsam and jetsam.
That would so happens kickstart with Villa v Leicester on Sunday, 5th Rd of the FA Cup. Who might rescue the claret and sky blues, hmm..
