I have a dilemma 20:56 - Apr 29 with 4944 viewsQPR1506

My son is 10 and refers to our neighbours as the scum, he hates them with a passion. I received this today so am thinking if he gets in use and abuse and leave yo join QPR at 16. (If good enough) it's difficult as I don't want to deny him this opportunity? Thoughts please? He's currently on a trial at Millwall but obviously they are a step up

Got to let him go. Just so he can say no.

Never knowingly understood

They have written saying

'We are pleased to inform you that your so Will Coates '

You should write back on his behalf simply saying 'I know.'

Never knowingly right.

Get on the blower to rangers and let them know Chelsea Keen. That should get him a trial here in itself.

Throw letter in bin.

If not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled. PG Wodehouse

Far too many sons and daughters haven't reached their full potential in life cause of believes and dislikes brought on them by their parents.
Nothing wrong with a dislike of Chelski though.

Try to explain him the pro's and cons of a possible favourable outcome of this trial but the main and most important thing in this let the boy make the choice wether to attend the trial.

What ever his choice may be support him in anyway and I wish him and you all the best.
Keep us updated in this, like to know what the outcome going to be.

Copy the letter to youth staff at QPR, saying that your son would rather be a Ranger and asking them to match the offer of looking at his play...

If they say Yes, then let the other lot know your boy is trying out with a proper club.

Win - Win - Win.

Dear Scum / Scumette

We are pleased to inform you that we so horny.

Since reading your barely legible potato print letter, our son has been preparing for the event by obsessively sharpening an antique sword in the garden, muttering 'Make it clean.... Make it clean...'

He will be, if not exactly pleased, grimly determined to attend.

Yours in sympathy

If he makes it, alert the R's academy set up and then every club in the Northern hemisphere and don't let him sign anything!

If he ignores you then remove him from your will and send him to Coventry.

Don't wish to burst anyone's bubble but Chelsea look at literally any kid with an ounce of ability. Even if signed there are loads of different trialists at training sessions. It's like Piccadilly Circus.

Don't be taken in by the facilities, it's not about that. Think what effect it will have on your boy if he's signed and then released. It can be devastating. I've seen boys pack in football altogether. If he's good enough other academies will look at him. Then if he's good enough he will get offers. Look at them all very, very carefully and make the choice based on football education, not the one that gives out the nicest kit and boots.

Dead right.

Robert, my godson, has great parents who've grounded him. He's very calm about it all, knows that other clubs might also come knocking (they will, he's right), knows that they might suit him better, and knows that his chances of making it are incredibly slim either way. Right now, he's just enjoying his footy.

Give him steel capped boots and encourage him to lay waste to a generation.

Alternatively, take the 30 grand a week they'll pay him until he's 18, then walk away to another club.

My son went to one of the Chelsea development centres every week for a couple of years. He would mainly be wearing various items of QPR kit.
