Perhaps we are waiting for Jim White on Transfer Deadline Day to make the announcement live on Sky that we have signed Mikael Forssell or James Beattie (wishful thinking) or waiting for an interview through the car window with Harry Redknapp at a car park somewhere!

Any frenetic activity at the WHCS - have the rotors been started on the Colchester helicopter.
I do hope that victories against FGR and the Royals have not affected our desire to bring in an experienced striker and defender.
We desperately need that experience to maintain momentum for the difficult games to come.

TS I reckon with Slater out for some time JM wants to give Murray some support in Centre Midfield.
Hopefully we can sign Michael Smith from Pompey at 6ft 4ins and with a ratio of 4 games per 1 goal he offers some strength until Guthrie is fit.

Looking forward to your usual team predictions Durham......
Whoever plays, I think we are going to smash Cambridge. We are oozing confidence after Forest Green Rovers. OK, we only drew with Reading (before penalties), but we might have scored seven. If we keep making this many chances some must be converted.
Mandron is getting better with every game. Szmodics is proving class. Reid and KVY excellent. Find a wide replacement for Drey Wright and I reckon we will have a very effective strike force. Maybe Hanlon or Odelusi is that man until Dickeson is fit? Wright beats people but has little end product.
All of these signings make sense to me in my blue and white tinted specs. My guess is Loft and Slater are crocked for longer than we hope. So signing a loan midfielder is good policy. Bolstering the forward line and midfield then takes pressure off our beleaguered defence where we still have three fit and competent centre halves and numerous full backs despite Prosser's injury. Have we ever been this well blessed since moving to WHCS? [Post edited 31 Aug 2017 19:26]
