Improving Chesterfield fail to hold on against their arch rivals after leading twice. Mansfield are now unbeaten in ten. Nobody had this spot-on, and just BFG got the outcome. There were 19 who predicted a win for Mansfield, with a massive 13 going for a 2-0, in what was the weeks most predicted result.
CRYSTAL PALACE 2 STOKE 1
Palace get a 92nd minute winner. This is the first 90th minute winner Palace have scored at home in the Premier League since Ex U's Clinton Morrison against Sheff Wed in 1998. That was good news for the 6 who got this spot-on, and the 7 who had the outcome.
NEWCASTLE 0 WATFORD 3
A fourth straight defeat for Newcastle, as Watford get their biggest away win in the Premier League. Nobody had this spot-on, but 7 did get the outcome.
FLEETWOOD 0 BLACKPOOL 0
A bore draw that was as dull as the deep grey sky above Highbury, apparently. Another game with nobody getting 3 points, though 8 did have the outcome.
NORTHAMPTON 0 BURY 0
A scrappy bore draw that leaves both teams in the relegation zone. There were 2 (burnsieespana and thrillseeker) who did well to have this spot-on, and 3 more got the outcome. There were 16 who predicted a win for Northampton, with 9 going for a 2-0.
CAMBRIDGE UNITED 1 STEVENAGE 0
Cambridge get an 88th minute winner. Another late goal that will please the 7 who got this spot-on, and the 6 who had the outcome.
NOTTS COUNTY 2 COLCHESTER 1
By all accounts the U's deserved three points and they got none, as they lose for the eighth time running away to County. Only 2 (concordman and basher2010) had this spot-on, though 12 did get the outcome.
LIVERPOOL 1 CHELSEA 1
A late equaliser for Chelsea, that means of the 19 sides Conte has faced in the Premier League as a manager, Liverpool are the only side he has not beaten. Incredibly RSCOSWORTH was the only one to get this spot-on, so well done to him, and 4 more had the outcome.
SHEFFIELD UNITED 1 BIRMINGHAM 1
Birmingham pick up only their second away point of the season, as Leon Clarke gets his ninth goal in four games to rescue a point for Sheff Utd. No points for anybody from this game as there was a 100% backing for Sheff Utd, with an extraordinary 11 going for a 3-1 win.
It was late goals in five games that put a different complexion on the results this week, with the ones for Palace and Cambridge proving to be most significant. As the wins for those teams gave us thirteen of our twenty-one 3 pointers, but still not enough to stop this being the lowest scoring 10 game week of the season so far. A member who lived up to his name was thrillseeker, and he would have been thrilled by those late winners for Palace and Cambridge, as he had their wins spot-on to go with his good Northampton bore draw pick, and with one other outcome he is this weeks top scorer with a brilliant 10 points. Other performances of merit came from concordman and basher2010, who both got 3 points for the late 2-1 wins for Palace and Notts County on the way to both getting an excellent 9 points. The only other member to get two spot-on was Pinault_Noir, the wins for Palace and Cambridge, to give him a decent 7 points. The 1-1 draw is becoming an extinct species for predicting, as the Liverpool v Chelsea game showed this week. There is no way in past seasons this game would have had only one member predicting this to end 1-1.

Just the five Saturdays of December left now for Champions League qualification. That vital eleventh qualifying spot is now held by durham_exile with his 67 points.
In the Premier, despite there being five draws this week, it didn't stop noah4x4 from still having a solid week, as he took his run of having at least one 3 pointer a week to seven weeks, and at the same time increase his lead to an impressive 12 points. The competition for the other Charity Shield spots remains as fierce as it has all season, with just 3 points separating 2nd to 5th. The top scoring effort from thrillseeker takes him back into the vital 3rd spot, a place he last held in Week 11. Further down the division, another solid week for sevebalo takes him further away from the relegation zone. After failing to post his predictions for third week running, I only hope jonestones can find a way to post next week, as it will mean another member being expelled from all Happy League competitions. Not something I enjoy doing, especially to members who I know want to be participating.
In Division One, this league is turning out to be probably the most exciting in the Happy League history, as it continues to get more condensed at the top by the week. Just four outcomes for BFG sees his lead cut to 3 points, as the excellent week for concordman takes him up four places, and back into the other automatic spot. But with only 5 points separating 2nd to 8th, the saying "all to play for" has never been more apt. Further down this league a seasons best score from basher2010 has him returning to the sort of form that saw him leading this division for a good part of last season, and give him hope of still making the play-offs.
