Week 20 Results

MANCHESTER CITY 4 BOURNEMOUTH 0

City are the first English top-flight team to score 100 goals in a calendar year since Liverpool in 1982. Everybody predicted a win for City, with 4 getting it spot-on.

WEST HAM 2 NEWCASTLE 3
Newcastle end a run of nine league games without a win. Well done to OhOriOri for being the only one to predict a win for Newcastle, and he got it spot-on. There were 16 who predicted a win for the Hammers.

DERBY 3 MILLWALL 0
Derby scored three goals in five first-half minutes, to make it six wins in their last seven games. Everybody predicted a win for Derby, and well done gerry_us for being the only one to get it spot-on.

SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY 1 MIDDLESBROUGH 2
Middlesbrough came from behind to beat a Wednesday team who take their winless run to seven games. Just the 2 (gerry_us and durham_exile) had this spot-on, and 3 more got the outcome.

PLYMOUTH 4 OLDHAM 1
Plymouth move out of the relegation zone with their biggest win of the season. Nobody got this spot-on, but 15 did have the outcome.

SCUNTHORPE 3 SOUTHEND 1
Scunthorpe came from behind to make it 14 games since they last lost at home to Southend. Only 2 (BFG and Blue4U2) had this spot-on, though 17 did get the outcome.

ACCRINGTON 2 CRAWLEY 3
Crawley almost blow a three goal lead as they claim this shock win. Nobody got any points from this game, with 19 predicting a win for Accrington.

MANSFIELD 2 MORECAMBE 1
An 88th minute for Mansfield as they get their first win in four games. Their were 4 who had this spot-on, and a further 14 got the outcome.

After last weeks bonanza there were gifts to be had again this week, with seven of the eight home teams receiving strong support to confirm that. Even though West Ham and Accrington played scrooge, the other five guaranteed plenty of points for everybody. Though with plenty of goals the 3 pointers were not so easy to find, but the 86 outcomes made up for that. The honour of being the weeks top scorer was shared with sevebalo (having the Man City and Mansfield wins spot-on), and durham_exile (getting 3 points for the Man City and Middlesbrough wins), with both having four other outcomes on the way to an excellent 10 points. The only other member to get two spot-on was gerry_us, as mentioned above, to give him a very decent 9 points.

There is just one week, and six games, left to decide who will be qualifying for this seasons Champions League. With mfb_cufc qualifying as holder, the other eleven spots will be occupied by the highest points scorers over the two divisions. The member currently in that eleventh spot is gsy163 with his 87 points.

A reminder that the final round of fixtures for the group stage of the Happy Cup are available for predicting on the separate Happy Cup thread.

In the Premier Despite going a third week in a row without a 3 pointer, noah4x4 still gets five more outcomes to maintain his four point lead. By getting the Man City win spot-on, thrillseeker has now had at least one 3 pointer for the last six weeks, and he reclaims the runners-up spot he lost last week. That was the only change in this division, though the top scoring effort from sevebalo puts daylight between him and the final relegation spot.

In Division One The consistency of getting one 3 pointer in each of the last four weeks, keeps BFG at the summit. Though it is a reduced lead, as the decent week for gerry_us, moves him into the other automatic spot. The top scoring effort from durham_exile takes him back into the play-off positions. There is suddenly a big gap back to the seventh, due to the very unfortunate missed weeks for eagledares and Pinault_Noir.

THE TABLES (144 out of 280 played)
(Tie-breaker: Most 3 pointers, and then the first to post)
