Man Utd staged an incredible second-half comeback to come from two goals down to beat City who lost a Premier League game they were winning by a two-goal margin for the first time since October 2008. Nobody got this spot-on, with 3 going against the crowd having the outcome, as 19 predicted a win for City.
MILLWALL 2 BRISTOL CITY 0
Millwall extend their unbeaten run to 15 matches, as Bristol City have now gone 12 games without an away win. There was a decent 5 who had this spot-on, and a further 12 got the outcome.
AFC WIMBLEDON 1 SCUNTHORPE 1
A late equaliser for Scunthorpe, but they are now winless in 10. That late goal was good news for the 4 who got this spot-on, and the 2 who had the outcome.
ROCHDALE 3 PORTSMOUTH 3
An injury-time own goal denied Rochdale the chance to move out of the League One relegation zone as Portsmouth came from behind three times to snatch a draw despite only having two shots on target. Nobody had this spot-on, but 5 did get the outcome. There were 12 who predicted a win for Portsmouth, with 8 going for a 2-1, in what was the weeks most predicted result.
BARNET 1 FOREST GREEN 0
Martin Allen is on his way to saving Barnet from being relegated again, as they move to within four points of safety. A very good 6 got this spot-on, and 7 more had the outcome.
NOTTS COUNTY 2 COVENTRY 1
A late goal gives County their first win in five, after Coventry had equalised a minute earlier. There were 4 who had this spot-on, and a further 9 got the outcome.
I will start with a further reminder of a rule. No more than than two predicted scores the same as your nearest opponent(s) in a 6 game week, and no more than four predicted scores the same as your nearest opponent in a 10 game week. Any predictions above the requisite amount will be declared void. This rule has been around for years, but new members may not be aware of it, and old members might have forgot about it. You are all very fair, and I am sure nobody would do it on purpose, but the leagues are so tight I thought it only right to mention it again. I will remind anyone if they fail to comply, but please check before posting
On to this week, and at one time we looked to be heading for six home wins, but late equalisers, and the incredible Man Utd fightback, meant we had to settle for a reasonable return of nineteen 3 pointers in the end. It was a good week for noah4x4 and Sector4 in their respective battles at the top and bottom of the Premier, as they both got three spot-on, the wins for Millwall, Barnet and Notts County, to give them an excellent 9 points, as they shared the honour of being the weeks top scorer. The other performance of merit came from eagledares, who was another to have the wins for Barnet and Notts County spot-on, and two outcomes to give him a very decent 8 points.
In the Premier A solid week for thrillseeker, that included having another 3 pointer with the Wimbledon 1-1, ensures he still holds a decent lead. But it is reduced by two points as noah4x4 showed he is still up for the fight with his top scoring effort taking back into second. Even though he drops a place, a solid week for RSCOSWORTH improved his chances of making the Charity Shield. At the bottom another incredible week for Sector4, as he gets three spot-ons for the second week running, has given him every chance of completing the greatest escape the Happy League has probably ever seen. After Week 29 he was 22 points from safety, but title winning form over the last six weeks has seen him recover that deficit. Of course he is not safe yet, but his great run means those from sixth downwards are suddenly involved in a relegation battle.
In Division One Just like his beloved U's durham_exile had a slump in form this week, with only the Man Utd outcome saving him from a blank one. This was not enough for him to hold onto the top spot as two 3 pointers from gerry_us, the wins for Millwall and Notts County, has him taking over at the summit. Another to take advantage of this slump was eagledares, and his season of gradual improvement continued this week, and he has every chance of making the automatics on his first season back. Having the Barnet win spot-on still gives TheHappyGooner hopes of making the automatics, but a play-off spot seems more realistic. In the same boat is BFG, as he also benefits from getting the Barnet win spot-on, as he looks for an immediate return to the Premier. Just 3 weeks and 26 games left to this incredible season, when everything will be revealed.
