Week 17 Results

HUDDERSFIELD 1 BRIGHTON 2

Brighton have won two of their last four Premier League away games, as many victories as they managed in their previous 23 on the road, as they came from behind to beat 10-man Huddersfield. There were 3 who got this spot-on, and 6 more had the outcome.

LEICESTER 2 WATFORD 0
Leicester have won all five of their home Premier League matches against Watford. There were 4 who had this spot-on, and 21 got the outcome, with 13 going for a 2-1, in what was the weeks most predicted result.

NEWCASTLE 0 WEST HAM 3
West Ham recorded their biggest Premier League victory against Newcastle at St James' Park since October 1998. Nobody got this spot-on, but 9 did have the outcome. There were 17 who predicted a win for Newcastle.

BIRMINGHAM 3 PRESTON 0
Birmingham remain unbeaten at home after this impressive victory. Nobody had this spot-on, though 16 did get the outcome.

BLACKBURN 4 SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY 2
Danny Graham scored a hat-trick on his 100th start for Blackburn. Another game with no 3 pointer, but 23 did have the outcome.

NOTTINGHAM FOREST 2 IPSWICH 0
Lewis Grabban took his goal tally to 15 for the season with a double against bottom side Ipswich. There was a big 9 who had this spot-on, and a further 20 got the outcome.

A decent week for getting outcomes, with many members finding four or five, but 3 pointers were not so easy to come by, with Forest producing more than half of the 16 in total. With only three games producing a 3 pointer two members did well to get two, with concordman coming out best. He had the wins for Brighton and Forest spot-on, and with three outcomes he is the weeks top scorer with an excellent 9 points. The 2-0 wins for Leicester and Forest were the ones Sector4 had spot-on, to give him a decent 7 points. A special mention for sevebalo and TheHappyGooner who both achieved that rare feat of getting all six results correct. Both had one spot-on, the former the Leicester 2-0, and the latter the Forest 2-0, as they each got a superb 8 points.

The qualification for the Champions League continues to hot up, and with just four weeks to go the member in that final qualifying spot is eagledares with his 76 points. With six members within 3 points of this score, as usual this will be going to the final week.

In the Premier At the top sevebalo continues to go from strength to strength, and another very decent week has stretched his lead to an impressive 12 points. If we go back to Week 17 last season we find that noah4x4 held a similar advantage before succumbing, so he will know this is not an insurmountable lead. The only real change in this division has eagledares moving up three places, thanks mainly to having the Brighton 2-1 spot-on. At the bottom the resurgent TheHappyGooner move to within two points of safety after their very decent week. With only 11 points separating the final Charity Shield place and the bottom spot, it is all to play for at both ends of the table in this division.

In Division One For the third week running we have a new leader, with basher2010 reclaiming the top spot he lost the previous week, thanks to having the Forest 2-0 spot-on. Three outcomes kept Colukev in the other automatic spot, but the pack continue to close in, lead by Sector4, who moved up three places, as he looks for an instant return to the Premier. Further down the league that top scoring effort from concordman moved him up a couple of places, but more importantly moved him 5 points nearer to the play-off spots. At the bottom OhOriOri failed to post his predictions for the third week running, and is now one more no show away from being the third person to be expelled this season.

THE TABLES (122 out of 280 played)
(Tie-breaker: Most 3 pointers, and then the first to post)
