Going nowhere fast 2019 18:17 - Jan 5 with 631 viewsbwildered

U's yet again failed to dispatch a relegation threatened side, to keep there own, going nowhere fast promotion hopes alive. Despite the noises from Head Coach John McG, nothing much changes and the reaction from the previous match at Crawley was to go 3-1 down after taking the lead.
The second half onslaught resulted in a penalty, but little in quality in the places that mattered.
On paper the squad is good enough, but the management seem incapable of inspiring those he regularly choses.

McGreal threatened big changes but made just two. Fact is there is little quality or depth beyond the 14 or 15 players that play every week. First time i’ve seen them play since Macclesfield game. On today’s performance we are nowhere near a play off team.

Wasn't at the game today but could a sole consolation be that at least the U's scored multiple goals for the first time in a while? Maybe that'll give the boys confidence that they can score, no matter how they go in?

Should be in attendance at the Mansfield game. Hoping McGreal can find a spark somewhere.
