CAMBRIDGE UNITED 2 STEVENAGE 0
Cambridge secured only their second win in 10 league matches. Only 2 had this spot-on, and another 8 got the outcome.
With the FA Cup games producing their usual unpredictable results, they helped to make this a bit of a hit or miss week. There was a total of 29 spot-ons, but almost half the members missed out by failing to get one. But those who did manage to get a 3 pointer produce some outstanding performances, with Tropical_Us and sevebalo leading the way with four each. The former had the wins for Chelsea and Arsenal with the draws at Derby and Charlton spot-on, and with two outcomes he is this weeks top scorer with an absolutely brilliant 14 points, in what I think is his highest ever Happy League score. The latter had the wins for Chelsea, Arsenal and Bristol City to go with the Charlton 1-1 spot-on to give him a really excellent 12 points. That excellent score was also achieved by unitedwhites by having the wins for Cambridge and Arsenal to go with the Derby draw spot-on, and three outcomes, to give this rookie a seasons best score.
In the Premier Just when it looked like sevebalo maybe succumbing to the pressure of being at the top he produces an outstanding performance to stretch his lead to decent 8 points. After leading for the first 10 weeks of the season RSCOSWORTH had slipped back to sixth last week, but he produced that early season form again, with two spot-ons in a superb 10 points, taking back up into the final Charity Shield spot. It was only five weeks ago when Tropical_Us found himself in the relegation zone, but after his brilliant effort this week he moves up three places, and is just a point from a Charity Shield spot. Two spot-ons for gerry_us moves him three points nearer to a Charity Shield place. Two 3 pointers also for TheHappyGooner, where they used the 2-0 to good effect with the wins for Chelsea and Cambridge, to move out of the relegation places again.
In Division One We have a new leader after a sustained run of good scores has finally taken Sector4 to the summit. He is starting to look good for an instant return to the Premier. Just the four outcomes for Colukev means he has to settle for the other automatic spot. Two spot-ons, the wins for Chelsea and Arsenal, helped medicine_man to move up four places, and back into the play-off spots. Those same two 3 pointers moved wessex_exile to within 7 points of the play-offs, and the nearest he has been to them since the early weeks of the season. After last week it looked a forlorn hope for unitedwhites making the play-offs, but after his excellent week he moves up four places, and is now only 6 points short of a play-off spot.
