Monte Panasar at Castle Park - tomorrow (22/06) 19:18 - Jun 21 with 1095 viewsnoah4x4

Top of the table clash between Colchester & EE and Shenfield in the Essex League Division One. Lots of quality cricketers are on show...

The Shenfield team is likely to feature Monte Panasar (former England spinner) and Jack Plom (Essex II's and England U19).

Colchester team includes Johnny Bassett-Graham (Auckland); Denson Narayan (Guyana); and Jack Hobbs (who scored 113 n.o. and 96 in successive innings last weekend).

50 Limited Overs per side; Coloured Kit; white ball; match starts 12:30.
(This standard is almost as good as county cricket).
FREE admission; bar; catering (pop up cafe).
All are welcome.
Come and support your local team.

While passing, watched the second half of the Shenfield innings. Col &EE took some good catches in the deep ( one in front of me at long off ), just has Shenfield looked like posting a larger score , the tail was removed efficiently .
A solid batting performance by Monty , in not troubling the scorers .
A comfortable four and a bit a over required , Monty usually better with the ball than bat so careful .
The out come was ?

Scorecard at http://colchesteree.play-cricket.com/website/results/3886842

Once there, click on 'Match Centre' to view video clips of 4's and wickets, including Monte Panasar bowling to Colchester batsmen who cleverly shut him out and picked off the other Shenfield bowlers. Even so, his figures of 10 overs, 1-18 were impressive. The winning runs were scored by Colchester player/coach Johnny Basset-Graham (50) of Auckland CC.

Bewildered, was glad to see you at CloudFM today. Hope to see you more often at Castle Park (for free). You must have been impressed by the standard of the Essex League.

EDIT
There are only three video clips of Monte as he was only hit for one four, but took two catches. Sorry that many of the Shenfield players are only identified on the video clips by their nicknames. That wasn't my fault as I didn't load their "scoreboard names". The scorecard identifies them properly.

This Saturday at Castle Park, Colchester 1st XI versus Woodford Wells CC. 50 overs, start 12:30.
