Crikey bob, you're keen...a steady 2 -0 win for the R's. Boss Man Warburton....simply referred to as BMW from now on, will smoothly change gear with four or five differences from Saturday.

Poll: Thank God The Seaons Over.

Could be a big advantage for Portsmouth in that they didn't play a game at the weekend, whereas we were subjected to one where we had to come from behind in intense heat.

We will have to be on out toes and avoid mistakes as they will be eager for revenge.

Most of our team will not have played on Saturday either.

Team news will be interesting. Kelly is a given but wouldn't like to call much else.

I'm expecting Mlaker to get a chance and nick at least one of the goals.

With Portsmouths main priority being the League id be amazed if they are arsed about this competition at all. Just my guess. I reckon they'll play their reserves like us

They couldn't beat 9 men last week while 3-1 up.

If he’s thinking of starting Saturday how we finished this weekend, with 2 strikers and 3 CB’s on, it’s likely we might see Masterson and Mlakar get minutes tomorrow.

Not sure what else though… Scowen, Owens, BOS, Chair. I think we’ll see Eze, Lumley and Hall rested, beyond that could be a mix.

Kane-Leistner-Masterson-Manning
-----------Scowen---Smith--------------
BOS--------------Chair-------------Pugh
----------------Malarkey-----------------

Lumley, Rangel, Owens, Ball, Eze, Wells, Oteh

it's what I think rather than what I'd do - personally I'd start the game with the 352 style we played 2nd half Saturday and how we played against Bristol, with Chair up alongside the striker and Kane and Manning as proper wing-backs.

It really looks to get the best out of quite a few players and stops the striker being isolated, although not sure what it would mean for BOS if we played Kane/Manning at wing back. Eze, Chair and Pugh can all play more central whereas I'm not sure BOS can.

Less of an issue tomorrow I think, but interesting to see what he goes with in Sheffield.

I too like the look of this, Simmo. Although I would give Pugh a rest and play Wells - or Shodipo if we want a more natural winger.

Did wonder whether he'll throw in Masterson from the start or stick with Barbet

Think he may also keep Ball in the XI to build up his match fitness.

I think we'll see Owens get a start, he was on the bench on Saturday and Warburton was bigging him up the other day.

I've been wondering him about him, not having seen anything of him in person. Clive had a very encouraging sentence about him having the ball glued to his foot vs Brizzle, it'd be nice to know if he's got an eye for the goal.

Shodipo injured otherwise I'm sure we'd have seen more of him.

I would like Manning to be given a rest, although I don't know who could cover for him unless Wallace is thrown in.

If he plays, that will be eight matches for him in August. I want him to play all season, not be shattered come November!

Barbet can play left back cant he? Frees up a space at CB for someone else although that then means he has played every game instead!

My team prediction:

Kelly
Kane Leistner Barbet Manning
Ball Scowen
BOS Smith Chair
Mlakar

Bare bones.

Barbet can play LB but is far too slow to play WB which is how we tend to play. Would like to see a 4-1-3-2 at Home against weaker opposition with a porous defence.

looks about right to me - Hugill will be on the bench instead of Oteh.

2-1 R's BOS and Chair.

Osman Kakay perhaps? There won't be a more risk free try-out for him any time soon than this game. He's bound to end up as RB cover at some stage this season, so gaffer might want to see him in match circumstances.

Portsmouth have sold over 1500 and it's cash on the night, too.

Did I ever mention that I was in Minder?
