It was no conincidence that Bramall was back last night and impressed in the U's win.

Prior to Christmas Cardiff were sniffing around looking for his services.

Now Wigan Athletic are keen to sign him and watched him last night.

We should resist we do not have to sell and we have a real chance of promotion this season which will be strengthened if Bramall stays at Colchester.

Hands off

Considering his dead ball delivery last night, never mind the rest of his contribution, we absolutely have to hold on to Bramall for now.

Perhaps put back into the transfer shop window for dealing, particularly because signed Moore has cover for either full back position .

Poll: No half measure either 1 or 2 ?

No we should under no circumstances let Bramall go to Wigan.

We do not need to sel,l Cohen Bramall will be instrumental in getting us promoted and Wigan may well be relegated and we will play them next year.

Hands off definitely.

Wigan are total shite

Wigan will think they can get him cheap but for £1m be a different proposition!
Hopefully we won't sell.

We have to be realistic given Financial Fair Play given our gates are merely 3,200 even for a top of the table clash. If offered £1M for any player, we must sell. It's easier to find/develop another player than add 50,000 spectators at £20 (= £1M). Frankly, we will probably always have to be a "selling club".

However, given the cash from the League Cup run plus another £1M, we would then be well positioned to strengthen the team in the Summer if we get promoted. But we have all the resources we need in League Two without creating an immediate wage/FFP ratio crisis.

If somebody can find a magic solution to boost attendances (and revenue) let's hear it. But playing attractive football; going 16 matches unbeaten and sitting three points off the automatic spots evidently isn't making any difference. Last night's crowd was dire, but the place was rocking at 9:40.

Very unlikely that Wigan will come in for Cohen Bramall now that Wigan's player Robinson is not going to Milan.

Which is great news for us especially as we need him next season in league one.

Fingers crossed you're right Durham - let's hope there's a phone network failure for the next few hours of January...

We need Cohen for the run in to the end of the season. If an offer comes in the summer that we simply can't ignore, then so be it.

Cambridge have also signed Paul Mullin on loan from Tranmere, but I don't think either signing will be playing tomorrow as they had to be signed before 12.00 today to be available for tomorrow..

Talking of former left-backs, Bradley Garmston has signed for Grimsby from Gillingham.

Kurtis Guthrie has signed for Bradford City.
