interesting to know exactly how many were in the ground for the David Pizanti West Ham cup game.
I think it might be a case of doubling the school end capacity whatever that was
The Spurs game where we were the only game in London that day (2-2?) had fans standing in every gangway in Ellerslie and the rest of the ground looked rammed. Officially something like 27k but way more than that, possibly 30k. Edit, it was 2-2 and I found this on Youtube.

Yeah, that game was probably the most rammed I have ever been to at LR. Definitely higher than the official attendance

FA Cup 3rd round 1981 Spurs, one of the biggest crowds I have seen at Loftus Road, it was absolutely rammed. Attendance was given as just under 29,000 but seemed bigger.
My dad always used to disagree with the figures, if there was a 12,000, he would say "That includes the season tickets holders who couldn't be bothered" Whilst a crowd of 22,000 would get a "Sod off, they're at it, there must be 25,000 in here"
