That’s a Coincidence 15:33 - May 28 with 2258 viewsBoston

Loftus Rd record attendance 35,353 v Leeds in 1974.

Though the QPR record attendance is actually 41,097, set at the White City in 1932 - also v Leeds.

Poll: Thank God The Seaons Over.

I like the attendance v Leeds in 1976.Namely 31,002.Did they print 2 extra tickets or did a few hundred not turn up?

I think it's far more likely, Jim decided to take a few thousand off the total. Love him but he wasn't trustworthy especially when it came to money

That can't be ☞ as I thought Lids take 35,000 to every away game.

'75/'76 I think seats were put in the paddock keeping the attendance down to 31,000.

the year when it was 35,000, the paddock was terracing.

I think the FA Cup game v Leicester in ‘74 was an all ticket and we had just north of 34,000.

This is the one I know of...

Maybe someone can work it out from here?

Mick Jones header in the first minute or two just as the floodlights switched to full power IIRC.

interesting to know exactly how many were in the ground for the David Pizanti West Ham cup game.

I think it might be a case of doubling the school end capacity whatever that was

I thought Park Royal would be our highest? Something like 60k vs Southampton?

I read the West Ham crowd in FA Cup game in 1988 was 23,651 but there were 2,000 forged tickets

The Spurs game where we were the only game in London that day (2-2?) had fans standing in every gangway in Ellerslie and the rest of the ground looked rammed. Officially something like 27k but way more than that, possibly 30k.
Edit, it was 2-2 and I found this on Youtube.

Anyone else noticed that the record attendance: 35,353 is a palindrome? No. . . just me?

Yeah, that game was probably the most rammed I have ever been to at LR.
Definitely higher than the official attendance

Yeah you’d think so but when you add up the seating back then ...not much of a crowd needed to pack the terrace.

FA Cup 3rd round 1981 Spurs, one of the biggest crowds I have seen at Loftus Road, it was absolutely rammed. Attendance was given as just under 29,000 but seemed bigger.

My dad always used to disagree with the figures, if there was a 12,000, he would say "That includes the season tickets holders who couldn't be bothered"
Whilst a crowd of 22,000 would get a "Sod off, they're at it, there must be 25,000 in here"
