VAR or just read your book? 20:05 - Oct 19 with 1957 viewsdachiltern

Assuming the ref had (badge) assistants why didn’t they say something? More importantly how did the ref get this so badly wrong, check your book, two cautions, one player, one red.

Definitely have assistants in the WSL! - level 2/3, minimum level 4 at worst, plus a 4th official - no VAR though.

As you say how all 4 messed that up?! - we all make mistakes, but sadly this one will lead to a lengthy break from WSL duties for all 4 I would think!

To be fair I think the ref actually starts writing in the book after issuing the second yellow. It looks like she struck out the second yellow.

Never knowingly right.
Poll: How long before new signings become quivering wrecks of the players they were?

No way would she, or any ref do that!

She showed the player the 2nd yellow card and then...............................?

Been told by those that know on RefChat, that the ref will get a 3 week holiday.

As for the other 3, it depends who was told to note cautions in the pre match - likely they would get 3 weeks off as well.

Probably get 3 weeks on Premier League VAR duty.

Just realised that she is the wife of Michael Oliver - so not a good week in THAT household!
