Week 10 Results

BRISTOL ROVERS 1 FLEETWOOD 4

Fleetwood claimed an emphatic victory that got Rovers manager Ben Garner sacked at the end of the game. Nobody got this spot-on, but 5 did have the outcome. 15 predicted a win for Rovers with 10 going for a 2-1 in what was the weeks most predicted score.

NORTHAMPTON 0 ACCRINGTON 1
Accrington win it with a goal after 90 seconds as they moved into the top half of League One. Well done to durham_exile for being the only one to have this spot-on, and a another 7 got the outcome.

OXFORD UNITED v DONCASTER POSTPONED International call-ups

CARLISLE 1 CHELTENHAM 2
Cheltenham got back to winning ways on the road after losing their previous two away games, as Carlisle lose their 100% home win record. 3 had this spot-on, and 1 more got the outcome. 17 predicted a win for Carlisle.

OLDHAM 0 SCUNTHORPE 2
After losing their previous five games in League Two and eight in all competitions, Scunthorpe triumphed thanks to two second-half strikes. Nobody got any points from this game as 23 predicted a win for Oldham, and the other 4 went for a draw.

PORT VALE 3 TRANMERE 4
Tranmere win it with goals in the 93rd and 96th minutes after being 2-0 down against 10-man Vale. Not surprisingly nobody had this spot-on, though 4 did get the outcome. 22 predicted a win for Vale.

HAway the lads. Those two late goals from Tranmere means, with Oxford v Doncaster being postponed, the remaining five games this week all ended in away wins. What is more amazing is that none of the five were considered favourites to win any of the games. It is appreciated that with games being played behind closed doors there have been more away wins than usual, but before today that had not been the case in the Happy League. Even now we have still had more home wins, with the totals after the 79 games so far standing at:-
33 home wins, 29 away wins, and the other 17 games ending in draws. The result we have had most of so far is the 2-1 with 9, closely followed by the 1-1 and 1-0 with 8 apiece.
Five unfancied away wins adds up to a disastrous week that only produced 4 spot-ons and an overall total of only 29 points achieved. With an incredible 14 members failing to trouble the scorer. Those 3 pointers were shared out with four members getting one each, and the two who also had two outcomes are the weeks top scorers with a good 5 points. They were TheHappyGooner and concordman who both had the Cheltenham 2-1 spot-on. In the latter's case this is the second week running, and third time this season, he is the weeks top scorer.

Week 11 will now be an 11 game week to make up for the Oxford v Doncaster fixture being postponed this week.

Happy Cup Just to say the fixtures for the Group stage Round 2 are now ready for predicting. No hurray though as the deadline is not until Saturday 28th November.

Champions League The first look this season at how the qualifying is going. With thrillseeker qualifying as holder, the other places will go to the 11 highest scorers over the two divisions as at Week 17. That eleventh spot is currently occupied by gerry_us with his 51 points. But with things so close in both leagues virtually everybody still have chance to qualify.

In the Premier Even though thrillseeker had his first blank week since Week 14 in the 2017/18 season (an incredible 109 weeks without one), he still remains top. The only change of significance in this division has mfb_cufc moving up three places into second, thanks to having the Cheltenham 2-1 spot-on. Getting the Accrington outcome was enough for TheFatGooner to hold onto the final Charity Shield spot, as a rare blank for noah4x4 drops him out of the top three. The only other change has Sector4 moving up a place thanks to having the Tranmere outcome. Blank weeks are rare, and it is showed by the fact that RSCOSWORTH had gone 70 weeks since he last had one, and gerry_us and Tropical_Us had both gone 50 weeks since their last one.

In Division One We have a different leader for the first time this season, as another top scoring performance from concordman takes him to the top. On such a low scoring week, having two outcomes, ghughes11 was unlucky to see his nine week reign at the top come to an end but he still has a health 7 point advantage back to the third unitedwhites, who had to settle for just having the Tranmere outcome. A rare blank for wessex_exile, but he remains fourth. Up two places and into the play-offs for the first time this season is durham_exile, thanks to his good Accrington 1-0 pick. The final play-off spot is occupied by blueeagle. The biggest mover in this league is TheHappyGooner with their top scoring performance taking them up four places, and only keeping them out of the play-offs on the most 3 pointer rule. The good runs without a blank come to an end for Pinault_Noir who had gone 66 weeks since he last had one, and gsy163 who had gone57 weeks since his last one.

THE TABLES (79 out 280 played)
(Tie-breaker: Most 3 pointers, and then the first to post)

Given their respective league positions if I were a conspiracy theorist I would be worried!
