Brown out, Mullins in on 12:02 - May 4 with 364 views | Witham | For me I've been impressed by Tisdale's contribution. During a stoppage in play in the Walsall game he took Junior (a sub) and pointed out to him how others were defending. It's that "fatherly" type of supportive counselling some of our youngsters need. Yes, they're adults, but still learning. Sometimes it's not about your own on the ball skills but about knowing how to manage your opponent.

Brown out, Mullins in on 08:04 - May 2 by wessex_exile | Thought it would be worth revisiting this. Since Hayden and Tis were appointed a month ago, we’ve won 3, drawn 2 and lost 2 (and Cheltenham really should have been a draw). That form over a season would mean 72pts and probably have us in the play-offs. |
Whilst they have been decent results under pressure and with a squad drastically low in confidence let's not forget that 7 of the 11 points came from home games against three of the worst teams in this division. Mullins and Tisdale have done what they've had to do but let's not get too excited just yet. At the start of the season we'd have probably expected 15-18 points from those seven matches. Steve Ball's first seven matches this season yielded 10 points with only one defeat and after 11 games we had 19 points which is a better points per game return than the current run.
