The shape of League Two 2021/22 23:36 - May 24 with 2571 viewsdurham_exile

With just two places to be confirmed, the League will look like this:

COL U
FGR
Tranmere*
Salford*
Exeter
Carlisle*
Orient
Crawley
PV*
Stevenage
Bradford*
Mansfield*
Harrogate*
Oldham*
Walsall*
Barrow*
Scunny*
Rochdale*
Northampton
Swindon
Bristol Rovers
Sutton United
Morecambe or Newport
Torquay or Stockport perhaps!

Teams marked with an asterisk denote Away games that i would hope to go to.
Either Morecambe or Stockport could come into the equation!

Doesn't look a strong league surely with the right additions we can challenge to get back to League One!

Torquay keeper equalises. On 90+5!

Sign him to play centre forward, that was a great header!

Hopefully see you at the Pool then Peter, if circumstances allow next season obviously.
You can show me the sights!

Gerry some years ago we played the Monkey Hangers away first game of the season.

Have a sneak feeling it could happen again. Hopefully a different result.

We lost 4-2!

Definitely see you there.

Hartlepool the town of my old chaps birth who he supported until his death.
Held a Col U season ticket for over 30 years but when we played Hartlepool gave me his seat at Layer Road to joint the Hartlepool fans in the away section

A very interesting piece of history Burnsie.

After four years away Hartlepool are back.

There has been a lot of investment in the town.

The Historic Quay is very good and attracts a tremendous number of visitors

They had the Tall Ships Race which was very well organised.

Housing stock has been increased and new shops have enhanced the Town

Clearly there are still many issues that require attention but with the football club back in the league they will be looking forward to an upturn in fortunes.

That 4-2 defeat was our first game after we had been relegated from the Championship. We were 4-0 down, before Gillespie got two late goals.

We were also away to Hartlepool on the first day of the 2016/17 season. It was when I met durham and Gerry for the first time. What is the betting it will be our first game again this season.

Mick I reckon you will be right and the fixture computer will throw up the Victoria Road game again..

I have just looked up the detail of the game on the excellent COLUDATA site and it is interesting to note only Tom Eastman potentially remains in the starting XI from that 2016 game.

I believe that you were travelling south after visiting Scotland.

I do hope that Away fans will be able to travel to games otherwise it will be a grim time indeed.

Stay safe.

If we can't travel, I'll be less downbeat about losing Torquay and gaining Hartlepool

Remember it well for all the wrong reasons, not only the result. Visiting supporters (quite a few actually) had to queue to buy entrance ticket from the office and it was so slow as they said they had card reader problems. They were not accepting cash?. We suggested they just let us in for free at kick-off time!!! However finally paid to see 90 minutes and got around 75 . Good to meet with Mick and Peter though. Result however was less than acceptable. Maybe this season...
