Sensibly a cost cutting measure to avoid overnight stays. Remember the pools companies were resistant in such moves has it was reluctant in unrecognised clubs from the Conference having to replace Friday fixture. Does anyone still do the pools ?

I will be going to both Barrow and Tranmere for the 7:45 kick offs.

Friday night football has always divided opinion. Many people loved the old Friday night football at Layer Road. When I lived in Bocking then Friday games were not a problem.

Today for many of us Exiles it does present difficulties when travelling the longer distances.

In my case I favour the Saturday afternoons at the JSCS either travelling down on Saturday morning and then staying over and travelling back on Sunday.

Fridays can be a pain on the A1, A14, M11 etc and so I will need to pick the Home games carefully.

Still we are where we are!

Always loved a Friday night game and I've believed for a long time that we'd get better crowds on a Friday night than on a Saturday afternoon.

These games may save the club the issue of staying overnight, but they really don't help the fans.

Barrow and Newport away are both games you'd have to consider overnight stays for now unless you're able to come home in the dead of night.

I was hoping to tick off Barrow, but I'll now have to book a day of work if I still want to go

Friday night games are great for me in NZ!
Saturday morning breakfast and iFollow
Not sure they put the games on a Friday to capture the NZ audience though

C'mon Col U!
