Week 3 results

CRYSTAL PALACE 0 BRENTFORD 0

Brentford maintained an unbeaten start to their first Premier League season with this bore draw. Nobody got this spot-on, but 7 did have the outcome.

LEEDS UNITED 2 EVERTON 2
In an entertaining game Leeds twice came from behind to rescue a point in the club's first home Premier League game with a full stadium in 17 years. 4 had this spot-on, and another 6 got the outcome.

SHEFFIELD UNITED 1 HUDDERSFIELD TOWN 2
United get their first goal of the season with a 92nd minute equaliser, only for Huddersfield to then go and get a 94th minute winner. Well done to unitedwhites for being the only one to get this spot-on, and just TheFatGooner had the outcome. 20 predicted a win for United.

SUNDERLAND 1 AFC WIMBLEDON 0
Sunderland bounced back from their midweek defeat at Burton as Carl Winchester's second-half strike secured the win. Everybody predicted a win for Sunderland, with 4 having it spot-on. The other 23 had to settle for the outcome with 14 going for a 2-0 in what was the weeks most predicted score.

MANSFIELD TOWN 2 BRADFORD CITY 3
Former Mansfield striker Andy Cook grabbed a 87th minute winner at his old club as Bradford edged home in a see-saw thriller between two previously unbeaten sides. Nobody got this spot-on, and only basher2010 had the outcome. 17 predicted a win for Mansfield.

SALFORD CITY 0 SWINDON TOWN 1
Salford's winless start to the League Two season continued as Jack Payne's second-half goal saw Swindon win with their only shot on target. Well done to Lewis_1 for being the only one to have this spot-on, and just 2 more got the outcome. 19 predicted a win for Salford.

After the first two weeks of the season only had the one away win, the influence of a home crowd failed to continue this week, with three "good things" all losing, and only one home team successful. In fact it turned out to be a tough week all round, and it was that Sunderland win that got half of the weeks total 70 points. At least everybody got points on the board again, with six members grateful for Sunderland saving them from firing a blank. Only ten 3 pointers this week, so unitedwhites did well to be the only member to get two. He had the Sunderland 1-0 to go with his good Huddersfield 2-1 pick, and is the weeks top scorer with a decent 6 points. Best of those who had one 3 pointer were Lewis_1, with that good Swindon 1-0 pick, and MrHappy2 and bwildered, who both got the Leeds 2-2. They also all had two outcomes to give them a solid 5 points each.

In the Premier A shortage of 3 pointers in this division, with most getting just 1 or 2 points. It means two outcomes were enough to keep sevebalo top for the third week running. He increases his lead by a point, as mfb_cufc was grateful for Sunderland to give him an outcome. The top scoring performance from unitedwhites moved him up four places into third. The final Super Cup place is held by Sector4, who was another grateful to Sunderland for his outcome. Another three outcomes for RSCOSWORTH, to give him an impessive nine for the season, but he drops out of the top four for the first time. The only other member to get a 3 pointer in this league was noah4x4 with the Sunderland 1-0, and he moves up a couple of places into sixth. There is little change to the rest of the division, with only concordman in the + column, moving up a place.

In Division One Having the Sunderland 1-0 spot-on kept durham_exile
in the top spot, but only just, as he is only a point ahead of a group of four. They are headed by medicine_man, who is back up into the automatic places again, on the most 3 pointer rule, after getting the Leeds 2-2 spot-on. It is then MrHappy2 moving up a couple of places into third, just heading Lewis_1 and bwildered on the first to post rule. Just holding on to the final play-off place is wessex_exile, on the first to post rule, from the improving thrillseeker, who had the Sunderland 1-0 spot-on, to move him up three places. An unfortunate missed week for Tropical_us, has him dropping out of the play-off spots. It is the first time I can remeber him failing to post, so I hope all is well with him. For the rest of the league, the only one to get a 3 pointer was oxfcolu, the Leeds 2-2, and he moves up a big five places, and off the bottom for the first time this season. It is a surprise to see he is replaced on the bottom by BFG. A surprise because his great midweek performace took him straight to the top of that competition, but he has been unable to repeat that on a Saturday so far.

THE TABLES (18 out of 280 played)
(Tie-breaker: Most 3 pointers, and then the first to post)
