A good weekend to be a Colcestrian 17:27 - Sep 11 with 1120 viewswessex_exile

Never mind the U's winning 3-2 at Barrow, I see Ipswich's promotion campaign is floundering, spanked 5-2 at home to Bolton and currently sitting in the relegation zone with 3 points from six matches.

The old ones are the oldest, and It's a much-used meme, but I've just been sent this, which made me chuckle

Meanwhile, in other news, after a 3-1 drubbing at FC Halifax, the wheels appear to be falling off Southend's "Back to the League" campaign, unless the league in question is the National League South that is...

I have a mate who is a fanatical IT supporter who has Watts apped me all summer every time they made a signing. sent him a message today asking what's going on at Portman Rd and he answered bloody awful!
IT fans in melt down tonight even saying John McG needs to be brought in!

That would actually be a good idea, but hope they don't because Paul Cook is doing an excellent job right now.

I reckon they must be missing Skuse, Sears, Judge, Dobra and even Chambers!

And let's not forget Norwich are bottom of the table on zero points after four matches!

My IT supporting says that is the only consolation!
We should not overlook the fact Sarfend are finding life in the NL far from a walk in the park....ha ha!

Indeed, I'd overlooked the Budgies' rude welcome to the Premier League

Southend United, the gift that just keeps on giving. Lost at home 3-2 tonight to previously pointless Aldershot - priceless

Oh dear! It's not going well for them is it? They could be in that league a while. It took Luton and Cambridge a bit of time to get out. I feel that if you don't manage it in the first two seasons you're in big trouble.

Lot of money spent in the NL this summer taking account of transfer fees and wages.
Going to be a real dogfight to get out so thank goodness we avoided that!
Some decent sized crowds as well such as nearly 7000 at Grimsby last night.
