Week 23 results

ACCRINGTON STANLEY 1 MILTON KEYNES DONS 1

Play-off chasing MK Dons had to settle for a draw against 10-man Accrington. A superb 6 got this spot-on, and one more had the outcome.

CHELTENHAM TOWN 1 BURTON ALBION 1
Daniel Jebbison's eighth goal of the season rescued a draw for Burton. A great 8 had this spot-on, and nobody got the outcome.

DONCASTER ROVERS 0 FLEETWOOD TOWN 1
Ellis Harrison marked his debut with the winning goal as Fleetwood triumphed in the crunch relegation meeting with bottom side Doncaster. A sublime 5 got this spot-on, and a further 9 had the outcome.

GILLINGHAM 0 IPSWICH TOWN 4
Ipswich remain unbeaten under new manager Kieran McKenna with an impressive victory over struggling 10-man Gillingham, who had no shots on target, and are now winless in ten league games. Nobody had this spot-on, but 15 did get the outcome.

LINCOLN CITY 2 OXFORD UNITED 0
Morgan Whittaker capped a superb debut with a goal as Lincoln secured their first league win since the end of the October with victory against 10-man Oxford. Only MrHappy2 and GOSBTS got this spot-on, and another 5 had the outcome.

CARLISLE UNITED 2 BRADFORD CITY 0
Former Bradford players Jordan Gibson and Omari Patrick both scored against their old club in Carlisle's third win on the bounce. 3 had this spot-on, and a further 8 got the outcome.

NEWPORT COUNTY 0 SALFORD CITY 2
Newport missed the chance to close the gap on League Two's top three with this defeat. Nobody got this spot-on, and only unitedwhites and BFG had the outcome. The other 25 predicted a win for Newport with 11 going for a 2-1 in what was the weeks most predicted score.

NORTHAMPTON TOWN 0 CRAWLEY TOWN 1
Tom Nichols' first-half goal proved enough as Crawley recorded a narrow victory to end Northampton's five-game winning run at home, in a game where both teams only managed one shot on target. No points for anybody from this game as 26 predicted a win for Northampton.

OLDHAM ATHLETIC v SUTTON UNITED POSTPONED Waterlogged pitch

STEVENAGE 3 WALSALL 1
Paul Tisdale recorded his first win as Stevenage manager as his side beat a below-par Walsall. Nobody had this spot-on, though 10 did get the outcome.

With a number of matches being lost to Covid recently, it was good to almost finally catch up with all the lost games this week. Though with a massive number of positive Covid cases still in the country, I find it strange none were called off due to Covid. The nine fixtures this week produced more games to be logged under unpredictable, especially those from League 2. Despite four games failing to have a 3 pointer, the other five did manage to have a decent 24, with Division One continuing to dominate the Premier, by winning that particular battle 18-6. On what was for most another tough week, two members did remarkably well to get three 3 pointers, they were wessex_exile, who had the Fleetwood 1-0 and the two one alls at Accrington and Cheltenham, together with two outcomes, to make him the weeks top scvorer with a brilliant 11 points. Also basher2010, who got the Carlisle 2-0 and the two one alls at Accrington and Cheltenham, and one outcome to give him an excellent 10 points. Four members had two 3 pointers, the best of which came from BFG, who got the Accrington 1-1 and the Carlisle 2-0, and MrHappy2, who had the 2-0 wins for Lincoln and Carlisle. They both had three outcomes to give them a superb 9 points.

Champions League The requisite number of games required to determine qualification was finally reached today. In a season that has been dominated by the members in Division One, it is not surprising to find the top nine in that League have qualified. They are joined by the top two from the Premier, and current holder concordman. All details on the competition will be on a separate thread, to be administrated by wessex_exile.

In the Premier By having the Fleetwood 1-0 spot-on, TheFatGooner increased his lead to 3 points, and became the first member in this division to get a century of points. Two outcomes for RSCOSWORTH, and he remains a clear second. On a low scoring week for this division, it was a massive 10 points for basher2010, and he moves up five places into third. An impressive five outcomes for unitedwhites, but he drops a place to fourth. After getting the Cheltenham 1-1 spot-on, Daniel moves up a couple of places to fifth. The bottom three remain the same, but there is only 3 points separating 5th to 10th. At the bottom Blue4U2 was another to get the Chelyenham 1-1 spot-on, and that has helped him reduce the deficit to safety by 4 points from last week.

In Division One Another to benefit from getting the Cheltenham 1-1 spot-on was Lewis_1, and it enabled him to open up a 2 point lead. That is from the weeks top scorer wessex_exile, who moves up four places into the other automatic spot again. Just losing out on the most 3 pointer rule is Pinault_Noir, who was another to have the Cheltenham 1-1 spot-on this week. Remaining fourth is Tropical_Us, after getting the Accrington 1-1 spot-on. Despite also having that Acctington draw spot-on, bleeagle drops two places to fifrth. Back down to his familiar sixth place is gerry_us, but he remains well in sight of the top spot that will now earn him £200, after the generous MrHappy2 increased the offer for him to win the league. He may do something to stop him winning himself, after his superb week moved him to within 4 points of the play-offs. The superb week for BFG moved him up to season high seventh, and just a point off the play-offs. The other members to get two 3 pointers were GOSBTS, who had the Fleetwood 1-0 to go with the Lincoln 2-0. It moved him up a place, but more will be required to have shot at the play-offs. Also Madeira163, who got the Cheltenham 1-1 and the Fleetwood 1-0. It was enough to take him off the bottom for ther first time since Week 3, as he takes advantage of a no show from oxfcolu. In fact that has really made the fight to avoid the wooden spoon interesting, with the bottom three all on 73 points.

THE TABLES (165 out of 280 played)
(Tie-breaker: Most 3 pointers, and then the first to post)
