Col U V Port Vale - 11th August 2018 13:44 - Mar 4 with 812 viewsRSCOSWORTH

I saw this on Col U TV and it struck me how much quicker we seemed to move the ball back then. This was the second game of the 2018/19 season and Eastman and Nouble are the only players from the squad that day still at the club. Incidentally Hannant started for Port Vale and Hornby was on the bench. I look at that side and would take the majority of them over our current crop although I did see Comley has just signed for Dagenham and Redbridge after barely playing in his one and a half seasons at Bolton.

Happier times that's for sure. To be honest we've been rubbish since we stopped wearing stripes so maybe the solution is simpler than everyone thinks. Bit of white fabric paint will see them right.

Only on loan. I doubt he'll ever play for us again though.

RSC - if only it was as simple as that.

I have missed the stripes at home games.

It’s when you score one more goal than your opponents, which we achieved in this dull non descriptive affair to gain three vital points.

Only two worth nuggets of worthwhile excitement, U’s scoring heading in from a corner, all the more pleasing against ex Tractorboys keeper reminiscent of the jolly Green giant, plus George’s one handed save at the near post just after. A good a save you will see anywhere today.
Otherwise it was dark dank entertainment for eighty minutes.
Oh, unlike previous, seeing the game out in the far corner was a cakewalk .

Can I order five more of these please for the rest of the season !

I'll take grubbing out two more of those and then a handful of dispiriting draws if it's enough for survival this season.
