Yeah I did that Plymouth-Hull one. It IS pretty knackering even if you’re not actually playing. Do think it’s a disadvantage if you have that more often than other teams across the season.
But is a nightmare for the fans too.
ETA according to the thread on it, it’s Derby and Bristol City that have six double away games in the three game weeks. Other teams only have three of them (courtesy of Stowmarket).

This is the point I was trying to make rather inelegantly over Christmas. I did all four games, I was knackered. Absolutely knackered. And I hadn't played. It is tough for the team.

Speed of football now doesn’t fit these crazy schedules.
5 subs doesn’t help with injuries to the starting 11 either.A team could bring on 5 fresh forwards against the same starting back 4.Obviously it’s the same for both teams, but it won’t help players much in the long term.

Five from here but it's not a trip you want to be doing when King's Cross is closed all weekend so it'll be a pretty miniscule turnout I think, particularly with Southampton on Tuesday.
any idea how many we've sold for Southampton?

But I guess you had several crates of Peroni whereas the players wouldn't.......

If it’s not all-ticket it’s the sort of game people not intending to go would duck out of work early for. Will guess about 1800 with an extra 200 in the unlikely event we win on Saturday.

Yes someone was talking about this (can’t remember if it was a manager or a newspaper article). It’s actually likely to cause more injuries as like you say teams tend to bring on fresh forwards or midfielders and the poor defenders are having to deal with them when they’re already tiring.

any idea how these compare to last seasons 3 weeks game fixtures anyone ?
The fixtures are templated season after season so there will similarities on when we’re at home (NYD , Valentines day , first day of season for example ) and when we are away (Boxing Day , last game of season etc ) the long trips in 3 game weeks are just following a pattern which seems incredibly unfair to me . Not sure how long this ‘templatimg ‘ of fixtures has been going on however . Might be a recent thing.

QPR teams have already been involved in 2 x 1-0 home wins this week. Hard to see past a repeat on Sat lunchtime.
FYI - DS beat Cardiff 1-0; the women lost 1-0 @ Craven Cottage.

I haven't read through all of that, but an architectural feature of the city I recall from when I was in Hull is these Grade 2 listed public toilets: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-
Very stylish.
On the subject of breakfast at a Wetherspoons, I had my first such experience recently, in Falkirk - don't ask - and it was astoundingly cheap. Example: A decent, bean ground coffee, and free refills, plus an egg and bacon muffin for the princely sum of £2.79!
"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

One can only connect the dots with Jimmy Carr’s question to Susie Dent regarding public toilets…

I doff my cap to all those travelling to Hull. Its a Long trip, for an early kick off, with travel disruption.
I went on our first visit to the new stadium - the day of the 'town full of bombers' chants after the 7/7 terrorist attacks. Away fans bus back to the station got attacked and we had a punch up at the station, so I am in no rush to go back there.
Safe trip all and fingers crossed for an enjoyable game and 3 points....but more likely a dull game in awful weather and a long trip home with nil points
Also went to that, buses courtesy of North Lincs, like the Alamo on the way to the station. Said I’d never go back.
I would like to see a competent Stat man draw up the fortunes of sides who play less combinations of 2 long distance away games followed by a Home game compared with our fortunes
Willing to bet we've fared worse
Would be useful if Nourry took up this sort of thing with the EFL
