Luckily I will not have to visit next season. Suddenly relegation seems almost a relief.

Appalled at every level, as you would imagine - bad enough that he's currently a convicted rapist, but what's more hasn't played competitive football for four years now. The suspicion is that (a) Chesterfield FC have got the nod that the appeal is going to be successful, (b) they plan to get one year out of him, bringing him back up to match fitness, then (c) cash in asap. |  |

Wessex he faces a retrial, but the considered opinion is that he will be cleared to play forthe Spireites.
Not satisfactory but at least we haven't decided to sign him!

If a retrial concludes that he was innocent of rape, then that is how things must be. However, it is still entirely valid to call his judgement, his behaviour and his character into serious question for being involved in a group sex session with an intoxicated 19 year old girl. | |

I was watching the news with "Mrs" WB. When the Ched Evans story was finished she simply said "What?" several times. Dumbfounded sums it up.
As Wessex says, if he is acquitted in the forthcoming trial then so be it. That doesn't, however, stop him being a complete scumbag. He can look forward to a dog's abuse when he does play and I'll have no sympathy whatsoever when that happens. |  |
