Should we have signed an experienced replacement for Porter ? 23:31 - Aug 9 with 712 viewsColuFan

Does anybody else understand the mandron signing ? Surely we would of been better to go for an experienced striker to fill the void that porter has left ! Mandron should be given time to bed in however the signing made no sense when we have an abundance of young talent in the youth team that could do a similar job !
Does anybody else agree ?

Mandron has produced almost nothing wherever he has played previously except at Eastleigh in the Conference. He may turn into a decent enough striker given time but he is not a replacement for Porter at the moment.

There is an abundance of players at U23 level and below but it is yet to be seen whether there is also an abundance of talent capable of progressing to League 2 standard.
