Well done Braintree! 20:54 - May 13 with 1117 viewsmfb_cufc

Braintree got promoted back to the National League at the first attempt, after winning the play-off final 4-3 on penalties. With the on loan Diaz Wright scoring the winning penalty. He has apparently been outstanding for them this season, and could be pushing for a first team place back at the U's next season.

Absolutely brilliant for them. Top team in Essex?

Yes well done Braintree and Brad Quainton, Manager for getting them to perform so well over the last ten games.
Wright seems to have gained a lot of plaudits for his performances and the sort of experience we need for our younger players from the Academy.

Yes, excellent news and under the new rules for end of season play-offs in some of the sptepped leagues I believe Braintree actually got promoted having finished 7th - or at least only 6th, above Chelmsford.. The extended play off proceedure has worked very well in the Isthmian and Southern leagues too but sdaly was just one game too many for Heybridge who nearly went up to step 3.
Very well done to Braintree, still a small town club to be at step 1 level.

Quniton is a good manager, Lee Harding is very good at spotting genuine management potential.

Near neighbours Chelmsford will be happy with the Iron quick return !
Quite a restructure of non leagues with Brightlingsea Regent still in , Bostick Premier step 3 , but intrestingly Bostick league north - step 4 now includes Bury Town , Heybridge Swifts, Felixstowe and Walton , Coggeshall Town ,Sudbury AFC, Witham Town and Maldon and Tiptree all placed together .

Poll: No half measure either 1 or 2 ?

Sorry about the empty posts but something wrong with my smartphone and or the Internet.
Wonder if Quinton going to be the new Cowley. Hopefully he gets a decent budget to push on. Be an interesting league next year with Salford in it managed by Alexander.
