We’ve been to Elounda which is the opposite side of the island. Lovely place, great hotels and plenty to do and places to chill.
We booked Crete last year to ensure we’d get flights and hotel
Mid October in the event of quarantine rules re kids schooling. It’s looking good regardless. We are near Elounda this year - highly recommend it. Greece is great especially for families.

We also went to Corfu last summer. It was fine even with Covid. Quiet due to reduced capacity. I’ve a stressful job so needed it. Felt safe and it was lovely.

Book it. You won’t regret it.

Aguer - ooh !!! We're you at that game
at 08:44 27 Feb 2021

Ha ha ha
That was a hangover! Hope you guys are well.

I remember a tinge of hope and pride (alcohol induced I suspect) when arriving at MCR PIC station. There was / is an upstairs bar full of rangers, flags etc. Plenty of You R’S etc. I really thought we’d do ok and stay up. Because of Stoke! Not us!

I can’t really remember how I got in. Maybe the ticket was via Mel. I really can’t remember mainly due to memory loss these days!!!!

It was a fun train trip back. Plenty of singing including with City fans.

Some of their fans were complete knobs but overall it was incredible.

People should be under no illusions, once Toure went off injured the game changed in our favour. If he stayed on the pitch we would have lost. Once the Stoke result came through we stopped which created the space for the third which annoyed me. Not because I hate United and preferred city to win the league but because I’m competitive. We were a bit unprofessional. We should have seen it out IMO.

I can still see in my mind in slow motion Mackie’s header. It was just one of those frozen in times moments ie like Sinclair against Barnsley or Spencer away to Port Vale.

Why do birds, suddenly appear....!

Anyway not been for a few seasons now due to a very young family etc. But do read this from time to time so fair play Clive. It remains a great forum although a shame the politics hijack it from time to time making it a bit toxic. It should be a bit of fun! Amazing how people only post when we lose which says a lot about mentality. I do think the direction of travel the club is going is the right one - the model is good. I think back to Redknapp, Hughes and frankly the heart of the club died. Les and co are bringing it back which is great. I genuinely believe they have a flexible long term plan and that’s the key. Return us to the model of the 80’s and 90’s ie marginally better and nicer smelling shite! But ours. Not a play thing.

Hope you guys are well especially in these crazy times. Sun is shining, have a good day and cmon you R’S!

Yeah - I'm going to look to the East stand and glow inside all night like. I actually think, it will bring all the memories flooding back, including some forgotten!

Probably shed a tear again!

It's not being whiney - everyone is entitled to their opinon. I don't think on this matter there is a right or wrong. We all have a choice on whether to get an ST or not.

For me, the ST being £50 less or not isn't the biggest issue. Not because I'm flushed with cash because I'm not. I'm far more interested in who the club recruits now and why. Two years ago, all and sundry creamed ourselves when we went mental in the transfer market. I'm more likely to find the extra money for a ST if we sign the likes of Townsend from Spurs rather than past it has beens. That's the million dollar question for me because it shows the direction the club are taking and ultimately then, I'll decide if I want to be part of that.

Part of the premiership experience has to be the better quality players involved. You just don't get that in the champ. I accept and agree with your point about HR this season - part of the reason I stopped going due to lack of motivation / bordem. But, the chance to watch some the worlds best players, as opposed to a lot of cloggers parking the bus...... I think the prem edges it. The problem for us, was that last season when the board got it wrong. So this time round, if we get it right, we'll be ok and be in happier place. If we get the transfers right.

Assuming he's not part of the toxic dressing room and can become a recruit for the band of brothers then yes.

If not, then goodbye.

I do not want M'Bia as I suspect, part of the toxic atmosphere.

I take your point about the business aspect of it Charlie but in global terms of the club's finances is putting the prices back up to what they were last time we were in the Premier League really going to make any significant dent in a deficit of 177 million?

To reply John - nope, not a dent in it. Which are the valid points Simmo and Hunter are making. I actually get both sides of the argument here - hence my point about the emotion and business aspect of it. And I'm in the emotional camp because that's what football once was and should be.

If they had knocked say 50 quid off 10,000 season tickets it would only have cost them around half a million but it would have done a hell of a lot to make the fans feel that the club still cared about them.

I agree - but I also get, don't completely agree with, why they haven't. Putting a business hat on, I'd have done the same. Sorry to say that - I'm in business and I'd do it.
I'm in the fortunate position where as an over 60 I get a concession ticket and so the rise isn't a problem for me but I think it's bad when genuine fans like Simmo and others are priced out and replaced by tourists who just want to see a Premier League ma

Playing devils advocate for a moment, was the championship much better?

I don't recall many good games in the first half of the season.

Other than being 'cheaper' although more games probably / possibly equates to more expenditure anyhow.

Cheers mate

I hope they pay for themselves! It's bleeding expensive!

Before the little one was born, I'd put the bins out fortnightly. She's four months old, bins go out weekly now full of sh!tty nappies! My God it burns a whole in the wallet!

Family does indeed come first. God knows how you and your wife coped with 4! Thing is, what I've quickly learnt is, you do indeed cope. You just get on with it.

Unlike the modern footballer!

Exactly the type of player we should be after and one who would make me cut back elsewhere financially, to buy a ST.

If we sign players like this, it proves the board and co have learnt.

I read Chris Hoy's book - name escapes me now, a few years ago.

He was a beast in the gym and on the track but Brailsfood and co, at the turn of the millennium were not turning out gold medal performances. Hoy's nerves or rather, lack of self belief from childhood days would get the better of him.

The sports physcologist was employed. Basically, he got Hoy to 'box' his fears and unleash the chimp. something like that.

Quite literally, the rest is history.

A number of our best athletes at the 2012 games had sports physcologists. Football should be no different. It's amundantly clear, this made a huge change to us from Wigan games onwards.

And anyone who thinks this is a load of bull should think again. We've used similar tactics at our work and have had resounding success.

I completely get where Simmo and others are coming from on this.

However, in the main, over the decades we've always been pretty rubbish. And I don't recall many, if any demanding because of that, ST prices should go up or down.

The premiership, rightly (more so) wrongly is a product these days. It's a business and their is supply and demand. It was always going to go up.

Ultimately, we have a choice. Take the emotion out of it - because personally I feel Rangers could have made a token jesture after what happened last and to a degree this season but personally I think, it's probably about right. We have a small stadium, we need to maximise revenue so as a business, I get it.

And that's the issue at hand - I see both sides of the argument because from a purely business perspective, it's about right if we stay up. From an emotional attachment perspective, they've missed a trick because some fans are priced out.

If I get the nod from HRH, I'll probably renew although may need to downgrade into Silver. Unless a certain someone on here keeps winning on the horses and buys a box

I was in Marseille at the 98 world cup. Went for a slash towards the end of the first half and missed Scholes goal.

Tear gas by the way, does exactly what it says on the tin.

Hello Loftboy / gents

Cheers for asking. Other than being permanently knackered, I'm fine thanks. My wife gave birth to our first on January 25th. I was at the Huddersfield game the week before and when leaving the crown & sceptre with the likes of Neil and Jeff from here, I didn't expect that to be my last game in awhile. I simply lost interest in QPR for obvious reasons! That lack of interest became disillushioned and I could predict the formation and performances every week. Also, many of but not all the postings on here would be miserable - I found this place toxic. Having a daughter / baby, whilst exhausting, is the best thing in life. And I simply came to the conclusion that why on earth would I leave her on a Saturday to watch QPR play a medioce championship team, putting in a boring performance by players who didn't really care.

I did though, go to the Wigan game and one thing struck me. The togetherness of the players and fans. That's the first time I've seen and felt that since Warnock was in charge. That momentum change was vital for Wembley.

I was at MArylebone around 1 ish and met a couple of old favourites from on here. Not a drop of booze touched my lips having had 2 hours (kid you not) sleep the night before.
Being at Wembley with Dad and friends was quite amazing. I can't recall if it's in Clives report or not, I think it kind of is, but for me, it was a special moment. Being a season ticket holder since the early 90's and going since the mid 80's, we've had more rubbish years then good. So to have that moment and watch the players of our club win a trophey at Wembley will stay with me to the day I die. Hugging the old man and friends sat with us made it all worthwhile (tears in the eye moment) and what makes us QPR a bit different. I hope one day, I can do the same with my daughter, just not wait 30 bloody years.

This argument about the ST prices is tricky. Ultimately, it's down to supply / demand. The demand is there in the premiership. What worries me most for QPR though, those of us who went / go week in / week out for years, may get left behind.

If I can make the numbers work, I'll renew but I've got three mouths to feed and mine is a big mouth!

Cheers lads - hope you're all well.

Willo is and will always be my favourite LB.

But BAE consistently does things willo could not. Some of the flicks and touches were outrageous for a left back.
I think he's bored half the time.
