The players need to get away and go out on the piss more often. Still a very tough call, but we were fairly resilient today.

Good backs to the wall performance. Agree with fellow posters Cesar and Taarabt had excellent games, in fact everybody put in a good shift. Granero was poor in the first half but picked up in the second.

Apart from getting the two penalty shouts right I thought that the referee had a bad game.

Three clean sheets against three of the top sides, time to start hitting the net on Saturday!

As strong a performance as any this season. Agree with other posters - Harry's no mug and he played the right tactics, we were forced to adopt the position of a battling away team against a very good side.

I though we did excellently in nullifying there wide men, the attitude of the players was admirable compared with what it has been. Fabio was impressive, Onuoha stable, Cesar superb, some great passes and hold up from Adel (plus some bad free kicks). Park showed enthusiasm but not much else. Still waiting for the right man up front to be signed where I feel things need to click if we are going to dare attack more against the stronger sides.

Oh and Mbia is great at muscling people off the ball but is still a nutter, another bout of amateur dramatics in the second half had the Spurs keeper grinning knowingly as he's probably familiar with this kind of nonsense from when they played in the French league.

Can't wait for Clive's match report, his brain must be in shreds.

I think some fans have adapted a Life of Brian - "always look on the bright side of life" stance. We were crucified in the first half yesterday. I personally cannot blame people for being ironic with their chants, maybe it's the only way to make the penny drop for some of these intellectually limited, overpaid, spoilt losers.

Would love to see some energetic, talented, heart-on-sleeve players moving around Taarabt.

Harry's post match optimism belies our predicament, either he's a great actor or he's got something up his sleeve or maybe it's hallucinatory drugs in his system.

Great first 15-20 minutes, then the passing got scrappy and the game stumbled towards half time. Full credit to the team for picking it up again after the break. Nice to see Faurlin involved and finding his feet again. All of this just shows what a total incompetent Hughes was. Fulham weren't at the races yesterday and were very poor.

Oh and of course great performance from Adel with a fantastic finish for the second goal. He should also be able to choose the African Nations without a guilty conscience, although there are many of us that hope he doesn't.

We are truly f*cked with this squad and I think that Harry has already started to realise this. It is so painful having to watch this all unfold. Respect to the fans that made the journey. Ryan Nelsen is already player of the season, how can anyone surpass him now?

Considering the so called importance of the game that was undoubtedly our worst performance of the season. The third goal was an even bigger shambles than the first. A team with no heart apart from a few signs of life notably from Taarabt (again). And now the classier players like Granero are even being sucked into the quicksand.

Hughes has no choice but to resign after that utter disgrace, we were taken apart. I just hope that Tony has someone suitable lined up.

Immensely frustrating to watch, yet somehow inevitable. Played the better football, had most possession, created most chances. Picked the side that most posters on this site wanted. Still came away empty handed. Where do we go from here?

Time to go Hughes! This just isn't working. I just hope that Fernandes has a suitable replacement lined up. The team lacked spirit, cohesion and fight for over an hour yesterday, bar some exceptions notably Taarabt, Nelsen, Diakité and Granero. I expected them to come flying out of the traps.

Frankly I'm sick of the sight of Hughes and the ex-Chelsea keeper's (who's name I can't spell) miserable faces on my TV screen every time they zoom in on our bench. One advantage of being at the game is that you avoid this. Also sick of the sight of a more and more disappointed looking Faurlin going to waste, what was it Tony said when Faurlin was on the road to recovery - it'll be like making a 15 million signing.

Just read that the genius and sound sleeping Hughes has pinpointed an area for improvement after yesterday's game - defending set pieces!! I think that a career move into marketing matresses for insomniacs would be most advisable. Rant over.

MelakaRanger not sure what game you were watching regarding your comments on Taarabt. However I agree with you about SWP, he poses no attacking threat whatsoever, I cannot for the life of me understand his continued selection. It's not as if we don't have alternatives there.

Hill at left back is a disaster, we would have been better off with Park there. Regarding Park, he is turning into the new Barton without the tweets, big name, captain's armband with average performances at very best.

When we were 2-1 down and putting WBA under a little bit of pressure I was just urging WBA to score the inevitable killer goal that always comes, just like a predictably scripted naff ending to a Hollywood film.

Two excellent goals from us, two crap ones conceded and a glaring miss from Bosingwa at the end. When I booked my trip for the Everton game I really wasn't expecting us to still be looking for our first win, the subdued arrogance of Hughes is starting to grate on my nerves.

Probbo

Agree with your points apart from the hoops, quite like them as they are. And it would be great to revert to the old Hammersmith badge with the three horseshoes from the late sixties/early seventies. We've got to get rid of our silly, generic crest with Flavios hair in the middle of it

Totally drained after today. F*ck the Euros, roll on next season!

That's more like it.

Really pleased for Adel! (slightly spoiled by the humourless referee's booking for wearing a fez). Diakite is improving with every game. Derry put in a good shift and Kenny's great save from RVP proved to be vital. Get in there.

I have to agree with RBlock on Bothroyd, I thought that he did well when coming on, can't see the "lumbering" myself I thought that we'd shipped that out to Millwall's sub's bench.

I still think that Taarabt has too much talent to write off just yet, let's see what happens if/when he scores a goal to boost his confidence a bit. It wouldn't surprise me if his head's been filled with all sorts of crap from agents who want their cut, "friends" or whoever. His brain must be like scrambled eggs at the moment.
