Willock completes Rangers' Rotherham revival - Report
at 23:10:01

Watching it all again in the cool light of day, broadly agree with assessments.

First few minutes - just awful, let them off twice and and let them in. Awful.

Then, steady improvement, chances (sign that keeper?), but a all a bit stop start

2nd half, 63 minutes, sublime pass, seemed unlikely to score from that angle, but hey-ho Qpr

Holy Moses, what a goal. First it's Illy - drops a shoulder, makes space, then to Willock - then wtf that strike, freeze it at 1.41 - worthy of anyone. Top 6 side.

A Ben Pearson own goal – Report
at 22:32:26

'Ben Pearson, at whose hands we have suffered for years. How many times we’ve sat here and watched that little shit stain take our midfields to school, harangue linesmen, roll around on the floor as if mortally wounded, argue the toss over every free kick, follow referees around in their ear, and waste hours and hour and hours of our lives, hours and hours and hours and hours, with his insufferable fking brand of dark arts and game smarts and whatever else we’re calling cheating this week. We hated and hate him. Hate him for all of the above, hate him for the miserable sulky expression, hate him for the ankle breaking tackles, hate him for getting away with it all, and hate him because every team needs one like this and we don’t have it. Part rage, part jealousy. How wonderfully, exquisitely beautiful to see him, through the crowd and amidst the panic, stretch a leg that didn’t need to be stretched into a place it didn’t need to be placed, diverting the ball past Bonham and into the net.'

Pure Gold.

Many thanks for this - great write up. Interesting times - can't help thinking it's the right appointment at the wrong time, but hey-ho.

'Begovic might actually need to go back to school at this late stage of his career, luckily I know a guy who’s running one.' Classic.

Astonishing prose. Read this out to my (non-footbal enthusiasts) friends which had them all laughing til they begged for more. Lovely way to end a fkg awful year if that had gone in, but so proud of my team nevertheless.
