The get out jail card but would he have even been in the squad if Charlie was fit?

A very good point was made on another board about how many goals our under 21's and under 18's are conceding. Only this week the under 18's won 6-4 and the under 21's drew 3-3. If like we were told, they are playing the same system as the first team, then they are also having the same problem of conceding goals.
I noticed Sandro didn't have a run out with the under 21's against Leeds. He must be getting close to full fitness and our midfield could really use someone who knows how to tackle. I did read a rumor that they really don't want to play hime because it will cause problems with our FFP. case Complete madness if true. Poulter also didn't play, that leaves JET as our only option for striker. Surely we must get a loan striker in?
Although all teams have problems with hamstring injuries we surely have more than our fair share? We never start the season fit, in fact I didn't think last season we were fully fit at any stage of the season. Step forward Carl Serrant. An unmitigated disaster and somehow beyond criticism.

This squad has so much talent. Shouldn't be struggling at home to Blackburn with what, two shots on target? Only one substitution? Clueless b@stard !! Austin can't play up front on his own. Commentator said the back 4 had no real protection. That's with 2 defensive midfielders in front of them !! We need to find a system to suit what players we have. There is no excuse for this team not challenging for the Premier League.

The main topic of conversation between the presenters was that Harry Redknapp didn't enter his technical area once during the game. Mentioned at half time that West Ham were dynamic compared to QPR who were passive. David Platt said that Redknapp had asked him about left backs, he recommended Creswell from Ipswich and Boyd from Middlesbrough. The feeling was the players accepted their fate, that even reaching 25 points this season will be very difficult.

As per usual poor team selection. Phillips up front ( he's no striker ), was Charlie injured? Dunne at the back again. Players failed to track back or offer options going forward. Dunne destroyed for two goals, Traore a disaster waiting to happen. Passing was sloppy and woeful. Second half 442. Now we have 3 players playing out of position. Onouha playing right back, surely Simpson should have come on? Islas now playing right midfield and Phillips who I believe is a right midfielder playing left midfield. More sloppy play, no movement off the ball and an easy 4th goal.
Green 6 Did his best can't fault him for any goals.
Islas. 5 A big part in the 4th goal, he must have wondered what system we play.
Traore 3 Useless. Gave away the ball , weak in the tackle and and poor going forward.
Culkin 5 Hardly noticed him, missed a good chance at the end.
Ferdianad 5 Did his best but overwhelmed with things going on around him.
Dunne 3 Inept. Dangled his foot out at the first goal, too slow. Not Premiership class anymore.
Barton 5 Sloppy passes, slow to react, poor corners.
Fer 4 What a terrible debut. Did nothing right. Offered nothing.
Mutch. 4 Slow with and without the ball. Offered nothing.
Phillips 4 Offered little up front ( although there was almost nothing coming from midfield ) , missed a good chance. Lazy and sloppy with ball in midfield. Not one run down the left.
Remy 5 Asked to hold the ball which isn't his strength. Ended up somewhere around left midfield in the second half. Had no service.
After the game one commentator said that Redknapp needs to wake up to modern tactics. Overall we were poor in every department and the 4 - 0 scoreline flattered us. We are missing a pacey left footed centre back, a proper left back and a midfield enforcer. As a team we we need to play to a much higher tempo with and without the ball.
