Dodds off to Lincoln City on loan
Dodds off to Lincoln City on loan

Former Rochdale loanee Louis Dodds has signed for Lincoln City on a twelve month loan deal from his club Leicester City. Dodds scored twice in a loan spell at Spotland last season, including the winner away at Chester City.

Dodds was brought in to help out a striker force following the return of Adam Le Fondre to Stockport, but found opportunities difficult at Spotland due to the form of Glen Murray and the returning from injury Chris Dagnall. He made a total of 12 appearances for Dale, half of which were off the bench, scoring two goals during that time.

As well as the Chester goal, he also scored a last minute winner away at Mansfield. He certainly did alright during his time at Spotland, and without any doubt, he pushed himself up the pecking order ahead of the much more experienced Danny Reet much to the annoyance of Mansfield boss Billy Dearden.
