Shock Horror: Lee Sharpe now destroys garden sheds for a living!
Shock Horror: Lee Sharpe now destroys garden sheds for a living!

I bet you’re wondering what Lee Sharpe is up to, now that he’s finished his glittering career that peaked at Leeds, and a few other nondescript clubs like Bradford City, Torquay United and Manchester United.

You’ll remember Lee Sharpe. He seemed to have the world at his feet when he won his first England Cap at the tender age of only nineteen. Then having been the victim of Alex Ferguson’s man-management skills he escaped to civilisation and crossed the Pennines to gods own county, signing for Leeds in the summer of 1996.

The following season he showed us a few glimpses of his obvious talent, but before he could fully justify his £4.5million transfer fee, a serious knee injury struck and he had to miss the whole of the 1997/8 season. After that he struggled to regain full fitness and George Graham loaned him to Sampdoria, before a permanent transfer to Bradford in 1999. Then it was all downhill, playing for Grimsby, the Icelandic club Grindavik, and finally the dizzy heights of Garforth Town!

He last graced the nation’s television screens in the epic ‘Celebrity Love Island’, when somehow he managed to resist the considerable charms of Jane Middlemiss (although to be fair, I can’t stand her accent either).

But you’ll be glad to know that he’s now plying his trade for Tiger Sheds Ltd, using his footballing skills to smash up the sheds of their inferior rivals. As their website says,”choosing the right garden shed from the plethora of garden centres around the country as well as the 100s of retailers online can be quite overwhelming”. So thank goodness Lee is on hand to help us!

Let’s see him in action in the Video
