Curry night tickets on sale

Tickets are on sale before the Southampton game for this year's annual Dale Trust Curry Night, where former Dale midfielder John Doolan is the main speaker.

Ticket sales are going well for the event, and given that it is widely expected that the night will once again be a complete sell out, supporters are urged to get their tickets as soon as possible to avoid missing out.

The full trust statement for the Curry Night is as follows:

The Dale Trust are delighted to announce tickets are now on sale for their annual curry night to be held on April 21st 2011 at 7.30pm in The Copperpot restaurant, Sandbrook Park. The following day is Good Friday, so supporters can sleep off any excesses that are often incurred at these boisterous affairs!

Star billing for The Two Johnnies is John Doolan who will talk of his time at Rochdale including when Keith Hill took over from Steve Parkin and took us all the way to Wembley.

Supporting John, is a former Dale player from the early 1990’s who has turned into a highly recommended comedian since retiring from the game. John Stiles, the son of World Cup winner Nobby, will provide the humour after dinner.

The meal will be a range of three curries served on a “as much as you can eat” basis together with a traditional Indian starter. The Copperpot earned rave reviews for its food at last year’s event.

Ticket prices have been held at £22 for Trust members and £25 for non members. You can buy your ticket in person at the club shop or at the Trust Desk in the Dale Bar before the Orient game (cash only). All proceeds raised will be put towards the training facility fund which stands at over £35,000.

You can also reserve tickets by emailing the Trust on info@daletrust.org.uk

A Sponsorship package is also available with a private booth, seating nine guests, available for just £270. Sponsors also receive a half page advert in the evening’s programme. The main sponsor’s table of 12 has already been reserved.

The Trust anticipate this year’s event will sell well - and having taken on board comments on last year's event - just over 100 tickets remain on open sale, so supporters wanting to reminisce in recent, pleasant, history whilst enjoying an excellent curry and a few laughs, should reserve their tickets as soon as possible.
