Reserves Beat Luton Wednesday, 17th Aug 2011 18:53 by TWTD.co.uk Town’s reserves beat Luton 3-1 in a behind-closed-doors friendly at Playford Road this afternoon with Ronan Murray, Luke Hyam and Caolan Lavery on the scoresheet. The Blues’ second string withdrew from the Football Combination East Division at the end of last season and will play only friendlies during 2011/12. Senior squad members Nathan Ellington, Andy Drury, Colin Healy and Jaime Peters were included in what was a strong reserves side, along with youngsters Joe Whight, Jamie Griffiths, Jide Maduako and Cody Cropper. Murray opened the scoring when he seized on a blocked Ellington shot, Hyam headed home a header from a Jamie Griffiths cross and Lavery added the third after a one-two with Murray. Luton’s Dan Walker pulled one back towards the end. Story syndicated from TWTD.co.uk Photo: Action Images Please report offensive, libellous or inappropriate posts by using the links provided.
