Andy Robinson declares Leeds United a massive club upon signing for them

Robinson's decision to join Leeds was made today and his first role at Elland Road was the traditional press call to declare his admiration for the club that he has elected to sign for.   His first official duty will be willing them to win the play off final on Sunday which could earn him a quicker return to the Liberty Stadium - this time in the opposition dressing room.

Speaking on the official Leeds web site, Robinson said "I'm delighted to be joining Leeds. It's a massive name in football and a massive club, and it's great that I'm going to be a part of that.

"The Play-Off final on Sunday is obviously a big, big game, but Leeds have done terrific this season, particularly with the 15 points.

"Even without those points it's a great achievement that Leeds can still be promoted."

Andy scored 10 goals in Swansea's successful campaign, and the attacking midfielder was quick to pay tribute to the club.

"I've had an unbelievable five years at Swansea," he said.

"I joined from non-league, I've spent five seasons there and I've never looked back.

"I can't thank the club enough for what they have done for me and the fans have been brilliant.

"This was the toughest decision of my life, but it's right for me.

"I spoke to Roberto Martinez on Tuesday and told him of my decision. I didn't want this dragging on because I have the utmost respect for Roberto and for Swansea City.

"I've played against Leeds and I know what a good team they are," he added.

"I'm looking forward to Sunday, and I can't wait to get started there."
