Meet The Ref - Dermot Gallagher

Dermot Gallagher became a Premier League referee in 1992 and a FIFA referee in 1994. He refereed the 1996 FA Cup Final and FA Trophy and Charity Shield in 1995. Mr Gallagher refereed Newcastle v Arsenal last weekend but has been demoted to the Football League for being rubbish.

Why a referee not fit to the referee in the Premiership is allowed to referee Doncaster v Swansea is a mystery! Roberto Martinez wasn't happy with his performance earlier in the season in the game against Yeovil away, as were most of the fans.
