Moss' 5 Year Plan

Moss' 5 Year Plan

David Moss, head of youth has revealed his 5 year plan for the Swansea youth squad. Moss sounds very confident about the future of the club's youth plans with the former Doncaster striker laying out 4 big targets for him and the squad to reach.

  • To have 80 per cent of the first team squad come from the youth team

  • To gain Academy status

  • To win the FA Youth Cup

  • To have a UK known reputation for producing technically excellent player

David Moss: 'Typical training this pre-season nearly always included the ball with small-sided games such as four-a-side in a 25m x 25m area. You work for four minutes and rest for three minutes, repeating this four times. We also did a lot of acceleration runs over 5m and 15m, as this is very important in football, while we started most mornings in the gym working with weights for strength, power and core work. Roberto has shown he will play the young players if they are good enough - as he has with Joe Allen - and hopefully over the coming season others will show what they can do if they deserve it by performing in the youth and reserve teams.'
