Nottingham Forest manager Colin Calderwood admits that the Swans have a strong passing game ahead of today's match

Calderwood was at the Valley last week to watch the Swans slip to defeat in the opening Championship fixture but was impressed with the number of passes that the Swans had.

He also tipped the Swans for success this season and believes that Roberto is a fantastic manager.

Speaking to the Nottingham Evening Post, Calderwood said "I saw them play last week and they still had their control and passing game - that was very evident, they conceded early and then had a man sent off but, in between times, they were doing slightly better than Charlton.

"They passed the ball really well and, while we passed it very well against Reading, the number of passes Swansea completed was far in excess of that.

"We survived an onslaught when we went down there last year.

"The proof will be in how we compete against them on Saturday. It's good that we know them, we're not going into another game against a team from the Championship we are not familiar with, and that will help with our progression.

"I'm not saying we're going to be massively better than last season, we just have to be better than Swansea.

"I don't think Swansea will be too far away, because they have an attacking threat, a fantastic manager and a nice style of play. But there are ways we can get the ball and really hurt them.

"It will be interesting to see if Scotland comes back into the team, as he is a little behind in his fitness. But he played on Tuesday night so they may change their shape to fit him in."
