Swansea City boss Roberto Martinez has warned his players that Watford are very dangerous and will be a difficult side to beat.

After putting in another excellent performance against Fulham last weekend, the Swans will be brimming with confidence and confident of taking all three points away from Vicarage Road this evening. A win could see the Liberty Stadium outfit break into the play-off spots and with a game in hand over the majority of the clubs rivals it is a good position to be in according to Martinez as he told the SWEP, he said “We have put ourselves in a great position in the Championship.”

Earlier on in the season it was seen as a steep learning curve for the Spaniard and his inexperienced side but in terms of the clubs goals a win this evening would mean just as much as an FA Cup final , as the 35 year old now alludes to, “We have learned a lot in our first season at this level, but now we need to focus on every one of our last 15 games. Watford is a huge fixture for us in terms of the goal of our football club, it's as good as the FA Cup final."

He added , “Watford are very dangerous,.At this stage of the season, every Championship point is going to be very expensive and they will make it very difficult for us.It's one of the difficult places we have left on our fixture list and we need to be prepared."

Spurring on the Swansea attack will be one of the in form strikers in the British game, Jason Scotland . There has been no stopping the powerful forward as of late and Martinez has been pleased by the attitude shown by the 29 year old , "We are delighted with him. Some players can be distracted when they get a lot of attention, but Jason is the opposite. He loves the spotlight and his goal against Fulham just shows you what a fantastic finisher he is."

And what of the draw against Manchester United in the quarter final's of the FA Cup? “I hope the fans are enjoying the thought of us playing against Manchester United. We have to be realistic and say that we are not the favourites to come through our replay against Fulham, and we have to remember that the league is where we can achieve our long-term aims.”
