Orlandi Wants To Get Amongst The Goals
Orlandi Wants To Get Amongst The Goals

If Gorka Pintado thought he was a long time between goals - feel sorry for Andrea Orlandi who is longer

Orlandi has netted just once in his time at the Liberty but believes that he is close to doubling that tally and helping the goal shy Swans along at the same time.

Saturday's blank means that the Swans have scored just 18 times in 21 games so far this season but Orlandi believes that run will soon come to an end.

He has made as many starts this season as he did in two years under Roberto Martinez and that run of appearances has led Orlandi to believe that he is going to get amongst the goals

Speaking to the Evening Post he said "I'm playing and that's the main thing for me. I think I've played 15 or 16 games so far, which is the same as the whole of last season

"Things are going well for me. The gaffer has found the right position for me, I'm enjoying it, but you have to get better. I need to score now.

"It's something that I always think about and my girlfriend always takes the mick out of me.

"I want to score soon, I think I'm nearly there so hopefully the goals will come.

"I've got a good shot, so I have to stay calm and get some goals for the team

"I think we are lacking a bit of composure in front of goal because we haven't scored too many," he said.

"We've got good strikers, good wingers and good midfielders who can score goals so maybe it's only a matter of time.

"Nottingham Forest are a very good team. When you're at home you want to win games, but there's still a long way to go.

"I think they were very well organised, they were chasing us in the midfield man to man, so it's very difficult to find space.

"In the first half we played very well, but the difference is when we had chances we did not score.

"If we managed to score early in the game, it would have been easier."
