Every Cup Run Needs A Late Equaliser Wednesday, 16th Dec 2009 00:42 Saints seem to always need a late equaliser when heading to a cup final The FA Cup Winning run of 1976 was almost dead and buried in the 3rd round, before Hugh Fisher popped up and equalised against Aston Villa in the final minute and we all know what happened after that. Similarly in 2003, Millwall looked to be through when suddenly up popped Kevin Davies to take it to a replay. So perhaps Papa Waigo's goal was no surprise for Saints fans who now ssee the team a two legged Southern Area final away from Wembley. It certainly gave the feeling that Saints are destined to make the JPT Final at Wembley and appear at the new stadium for the first time, OK its not exaactly the FA Cup Final but its still another piece in the feel good factor jigsaw Photo: Action Images Please report offensive, libellous or inappropriate posts by using the links provided.
