As you can see, we have left the Rivals network and broken free. Please feel free to have a look around the site, and let us know what you think.

It's still early days yet, and there's a few things which need a bit of tinkering here and there, and it would only be right that there'll be a few teething issues, but we are extremely confident that you'll enjoy this site a lot more than you did the old Rivals site.

We could bore you with the details regarding leaving Rivals, but to put it simply, it's format was well past its sell by date and we felt that the time was right to move on. As with any change, some will appreciate it, some might not do, but rest assured the best interest of Dale supporters was at the heart of the decision to leave Rivals. And we promise you that this site will not feature a single pop up advert at any stage.

There's a new messageboard to go with it. You'll have to re-register with your usernames, but it's not the 3rd degree that you had to go through with Rivals to register. It's very simple.

Over the next few weeks, hopefully this site will grow and grow, and you'll look back at Rivals in the same way people look back at Spotland in the 1980's.

So bear with us for the next few days, as the site grows and grows. Let us know any comments you may have on the messageboard.
