The right honourable Bobby Zamora — podcast
Friday, 28th Mar 2014 21:05 by LFW

Former QPR full back Ian Gillard is the guest on this week’s Open All R’s Podcast as the guys reflect on the weekend win at Middlesbrough.

Gillard said: “Obviously the top memory is when we were runners up to Liverpool, that was a great season for the club. Dave Sexton did a marvellous job on the team, blending it all together. I think aart from Don Masson it was all free transfers and players that were already there, to get them altogether and play like that was remarkable.

“One of the games I really enjoyed, not because of the result but playing at Newcastle when we beat them 2-1, when you’ve got 40,000 Geordies roaring their team on, Malcolm McDonald was playing that day, and it was a great team performance to go one nil down, come back and nick it at the end. It was a fantastic game and the atmosphere was electric.”

Sadly, tragically, it’s another interview where a former great of the club bemoans his treatment by the club when he recently returned to the club for the home game with Reading.

Your host this week is Paul Finney and joining him in the studio are QPR fans Martin Percival, Jeremy Brown and Leonard Newell.
