Of Course We Can Win The Title

Here is the latest news from Manuel Pellegrini's Friday lunchtime press conference. The City manager has been speaking to The Manchester Evening News in the build up to City's Sunday away game to Crystal Palace. City need a win at Selhurst Park to stay in the race for the Premier League title.

On City's on going injury problems Pellegrini admitted he didn't know when Silva will be fit. "Silva, Navas and Nastasic are all out with injuries — all the other players are fit. I don't know how much longer for Silva."

While the press conference was on going, Team Silva tweeted what the problem was and confirmed he would be our for 2-3 weeks.

Good and bad news for us City fansThis will obviously mean that Yaya Toure will be back. Silva was stretchered off mid way through the second half of City's defeat of West Brom mid-week.

Pellegrini then spoke of the Crystal Palace game this Sunday. “Tony Pulis has done a very good job — Crystal Palace are one of the best teams in the second round of fixtures."

When asked about the big clash at Anfield between Liverpool and Chelsea and the possibility of Mourihno fielding a weaker side the Chilian said “I don’t know what Chelsea are going to do — the only important thing we can do is to win our game."

And then on City's title chances “Of course we can win the league — everyone working in football knows anything can happen when the pressure is high."

He then spoke of how the players all feel the same. "Of course, all of them. I think everyone in football knows anything can happen."
