A look at this weeks fixtures from the 'normal' clubs in the Coca Cola Championship this weekend.

Well, what a start it was last week and it just goes to prove, that the Championship was unpredictable as ever and anyone can beat anyone - Charlton couldn't beat Scunthorpe, Sheff Utd were held by Colchester at home and West Brom, Southampton and Wolves all lost. Not forgetting also, newly promoted Blackpool going to spend happy Leicester and coming away with a win!

Onto this week and without showing any bias, QPR v Cardiff looks, one of picks of the bunch this week. But some interesting fixtures there are all the same. In what was a Premiership tie last season, Bryan Robson takes his Sheffield United side to Vicarage Road to face Watford in a game which has draw written all over it as both sides have made positive starts.

Similarly, what was a League One fixture last year is Blackpool versus Rangers opening day opponents, Bristol City. Blackpool will be looking to make it 3 wins out of 3, following their Carling Cup win and last week’s impressive opening day victory at big spending Leicester.

Last week’s free scoring sides, Coventry and Palace both have home games against Hull and Leicester respectively. The other big scoring openers, Ipswich, will look to put the midweek Carling Cup shoot out defeat at MK Dons behind them, as they travel to former R’s boss, Ian Holloway’s Plymouth, who’s fine 3-2 away at Hull last week went almost unnoticed.

The now to be regular, Saturday afternoon Sky game will come from the Britannia Stadium as last season’s play off hopefuls, Stoke, take on Charlton. Last years play off finalists West Brom, have a home game against a team that will yet again be looking to make the play offs, Preston.

Albeit very early, Southampton will hope to make their stay at the bottom of the table a temporary one but have a tough looking trip to Carrow Road to face Norwich.
