Mark Haywood will make the relatively short trip across the M62 from Wakefield to take charge of Dale’s game with Bristol City on Saturday.

Mr Haywood has been a regular fixture at our matches since joining the league list and Saturday will be his 14th Rochdale appointment in that time.

We last saw him on Boxing Day for the 3-0 home defeat of Mansfield, while three months earlier he was again at Spotland to witness Ian Henderson’s goal being sufficient to see off Torquay.
