Neil Redfearn moved to end speculation linking Billy Sharp with Ipswich, but a former Leeds keeper might be on his way to help the Portman Road Premiership push.

"He's a Leeds player, end of!" Redfearn told BBC Radio Leeds after the 1-1 draw with Birmingham on Saturday when asked about Sharp's future.

Our £600,000 summer-signing from Southampton who hasn't really set Elland Road alight was linked with an early escape route to Portman Road with Ipswich keen to take him on loan with a view to a permanent summer transfer, Sharp replaced Mirco Antenucci thus afternoon and despite not doing much of any significance there is a clammer from the terraces for him to start alongside Steve Morison on Tuesday against Bournemouth.

Meanwhile our fansnetwork colleagues from Ipswich, TWTD fanzine reckon Paddy Kenny is set to join Town as a back-up keeper. The ex-Sheffield United man, 36 left Leeds in the Autumn following allegations about his weight, initially joining Oldham before joining Bolton Wanderers where he is yet to make a start.

However one ex-Leeds player is clearly thriving in Suffolk is Noel Hunt. The Irish striker took his Tractor-Boys tally to three with a brace against Millwall. Despite never managing a goal in Leeds colours, Hunt turned in a massive favour for us today given Millwall could have gone above us had results been different!
