Dale fans have been given a massive boost today with the signing of Grant Holt just over ten years since leaving the club.

With injury expecting to rule Calvin Andrew out for a few weeks, we were looking somewhat weak up front, and Dale boss Keith Hill has acted today by bringing in Grant Holt on a short term deal which keeps him at Spotland until the end of the season.

Holt was a massive fans' favourite during his first spell at Spotland, and is a shoe in for many a supporter's best ever Dale team. He scored over forty goals during his first spell at Spotland at a ratio better than a goal every other game. Ironically, he'll be up against the man who signed him on Saturday with Steve Parkin in the Bradford dugout.
