Hammond Travels To Hull
Hammond Travels To Hull
Friday, 15th Feb 2008 19:56

Deadline day signing Dean Hammond could make his debut for the U's tomorrow.

Having been suspended for the game against Sheffield United and being out with a calf injury for the three games since, Hammond has yet to appear for the U's since his £250,000 transfer from Brighton, but he has been declared fit to face Hull tomorrow.

U's boss Geraint Williams has named an 18-man pre-match squad, which travelled to the Humberside today:
Gerken, Cousins, Ifil, Coyne, Virgo, White, Granville, Guttridge, Jackson, Izzet, McLeod, Duguid, Watson, Hammond, Platt, Lisbie, Sheringham, Vernon

Mark Yeates and Aidan Davison continue to miss out through injury, and the match again appears to be too soon for Pat Baldwin to return to first team action as he regains fitness after a month out with a knee injury.

With only two central defenders named, it's not known why Bela Balogh is again missing from the squad.
