Gerken Joins Bristol City Tuesday, 30th Jun 2009 19:14 Dean Gerken has today joined Bristol City for an undisclosed fee, signing a two-year deal at Ashton Gate. The news that Deano has left the club comes no surprise with him being one of a number of players that appear to have no future at United Way while Paul Lambert is at the helm. With reserve keeper Marc Cousins signing a new deal this summer and the U's currently in talks with Carlisle United stopper Ben Williams, it was inevitable that Deano would be moving on. The 24-year-old, who was the U's Young Player of the Year for the two seasons that the club was in the Championship, made a total of 127 appearances (124 starts/3 subs) over eight years at the club. On behalf of all U's fans we wish Deano all the best. Photo: Action Images Please report offensive, libellous or inappropriate posts by using the links provided.
